we have dined at Tropicale on two occasions on this trip and in the past, used it as our "anchor" eatery, noting that the food is always consistently good the service is sharp timely and efficient and the ambience is very gay friendly However on this occasion, I would advise dining couples to think twice about reserving a table on... We went to Tropicale without reservations on our first night in Palm Springs and we were lucky to get a table. We ordered drinks at the packed bar. They were fantastic...and potent! So delicious. The food was sooo good. The Kick A** Shrimp and the steak were to die for. Fun atmosphere and a great crowd. We would definitely go... More

The Tropicale literally is an oasis in-the-desert and without exaggeration, it's Coral Seas Lounge, a watering-hole worth a visit. It is an ideal spot, time and again, for great tasting food; laughter with friends; and 'the' place to-be-seen in Palm Springs. Culinarily it is world-cuisine, from it's daily varied specials, to it's piquancy of places far-away: From dishes heavily influenced... More

Review limited to HH - three visits over five weeks, and each time was great. Friendly bartenders and waitstaff. Interesting wines, "generous" pours of mixed drinks. Wide variety of happy hour eats, and every one of them tasty. Both the inside bar and the adjoining al fresco space seem to be very popular. Live music adds to the good times.... More

I was going to write a review on Yelp after my third visits, but I guess I will start here. I have been to Tropicale a total of 3 times and I have crowned it as my favorite Palm Springs restaurant. I went there in July, 14 for happy hour and tried their small dishes and I was very impressed.... More

We ate here on a recent family holiday to Palm Springs and loved the food. We chose to share a number of dishes and that worked perfectly for us in terms of sampling and portion control. Looking forward to going back again!

My husband and I had dinner at Tropicale on our recent vacation to Palm Springs. The atmosphere and service was high quality, but the food left something to be desired. The dishes either lacked flavor (ahi tuna with avocado) or were drowned in sauce (squid salad). They have a fun cocktail list, but it didn't make up for the lackluster... More

Have visited Tropicale on two occasions. The interior dining space is a visual feast, although I've only passed through on my way to the outdoor dining area. My first visit was for Sunday brunch and it was excellent. We sat on the patio and the weather was in the upper-80s...sublime. The menu offerings were interesting, tasty, and generous. The second...
