Great ambience, good food.

The kitchen has definitely kicked it up a notch, with excellent weekly menu specials and better preparation overall. Great bar and wonderful ambience in the dining room booths or on the back patio. Definitely recommended, but do make a reservation.

I often worry when a restaurant offers several different types of cuisine- Italian, Mexican, Asian, American- as it is difficult to do all of them well. That is the case here. Lots of variety with fair execution. Drinks & food for family of 4 was $125 before tip, which would be fine if the food was awesome but it was... More

I met one of my boyfriends there for dinner the other. Was very impressed with the focused attention of the bartender. The waiter who later served us was attentive and helpful. A dinner of martinis and fried chicken was the perfect way to enjoy this great restaurant.

The Tropicale restaurant is special on many levels. The ambiance is nicely done (more mid-century Miami than mid-century Palm Springs.) The food is exceptional with great presentation...compliments to the chef. The drink menu has some fun and unique cocktails on it. The staff is very attentive and focused on details. It could be a "special occasion" type of place - but... More

We lived briefly in Palm Springs and this was one of our favorite places. It doesn't look like much from the outside but step inside and it is a whole elegant transformation. From the courteous young man at the front, service is polished and yet friendly. We like Thursday evenings when a fabulous jazz trio plays in the bar; this... More

Dropped in to share a bottle of wine with the wife. Great wine list!! Sat at the bar which is always interesting and fun. Excellent service. After the wine we wanted a small item and the server suggested Vietnamese Spring rolls. I was expecting deep fried. These were uncooked, fresh and delicious!

The patio is a wonderful place to enjoy drinks and a meal. The Sangria is a definite thirst quencher and the fried chicken is delicious either on a salad or the full fried chicken meal.

Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. We were there on a very busy Friday (reservations a must). Food and service was absolutely superb, but we felt rushed to eat so the table could be turned.

The "cat was let out of the bag" awhile ago so it's not surprising that the popularly of Tropicale has led to packed crowds. If you plan on dining in the dining room or on the patio, reservations are a must. Reservations are not taken for the Coral Seas Lounge. This lovely bar, both inside and outside fills up early....
