We ate here a few nights ago. We started with the heirloom tomato salad; we have had better. The tomatoes were under-ripe and there wasn't enough goat cheese on it. Our mains were the swordfish and the flank steak. The latter came with portobello mushrooms, tomatoes and chard and was delicious. The swordfish came with vegetables and roasted fingerling potatoes... More

My good was really good. It is kind of uppity if you know what I mean.. A little pricy for me. Dinner for 2 and two glasses of wine each, 111 dollars.. Hmmmm

We were just in Palm Springs and had two great meals at Jake's. Brunch on Sunday was amazing - the Ahi Salad was a perfect size and nicely dressed - and the Specialty Bloody Mary that I had as a starter was a perfect accompaniment. Dinner two nights later was equally amazing. Maybe the best mushroom soup I have ever... More

This was the second time my wife and I tried to have lunch at Jake's. The first time we showed up at 3:05 PM and were unapologetically informed that they stopped serving lunch at 3:00 PM. No exceptions. On our next attempt, we checked their website, which showed luncheon hours ending at 3:00 PM. We didn't want to arrive late,... More

We were very excited to try something new in the Uptown Design District last Friday evening. We were courteously greeted and waited at the bar where the bar tender was awesome and actually had a sense of humor. Equally as great was our waiter who was very attentive. The table at which we were seated was ideal as far as... More

Six of us went out for supper at Jake's during our vacation in Palm Springs. The meals we had were all excellent (especially the "rack of lamb" and "Chilean sea bass"). Only thing I wouldn't recommend ordering would be the "monkfish". They had it as a special that night, and although there was nothing wrong with it, we all thought... More

We tried Jake's for brunch and were so impressed that a few days later we tried it for dinner. Both times were utter successes. Food is prepared perfectly with really fresh ingredients and wonderful combinations of flavors in each dish. The talented chefs put a new spin or twist on the ordinary and turn every dish we had into a... More

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service and always fantastic food! Love the Ahi Poke appetizer, but go with the mushroom soup when offered. The filet is sublime and is never to be missed. Share one of their phenomenal desserts!

When in Palm Springs - main part of town - eat where the local's go. Jakes. It is terrific. Casual and a wide variety of well prepared standards and specials. The hangar steak is Parisian quality along with superb roasted new potatoes. Lots of appetizers to choose from and to share as entree portions large. A case full of tempting... More
