Outstanding deli sandwiches and dessert

They pack the meat on the sandwich and make it the way you want it. HUGE menu selection. And the desserts are fabulous!

My husband (who is from NYC and constantly raves about the delis there) often reminisces about our visits to Manhattan in the Desert. We stayed at the Desert Isle next door in April last year and ate there EVERY DAY. The food is unreal, the staff is fab, and everything comes out so fast! I especially love the pastrami plate... We enjoyed a wonderful Mothers Day lunch at Manhattan's. The food is deffinately worth a drive. I opted for the wonderful pastrami on rye with a side of fries. Others in our party chose giant chili dog, open faced hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, spaghetti and meat sauce or how about a monster sandwich with 4 different... More

Fantastic variety of deli sandwiches and hot food. We asked the waitress for some advice and choose the Reuben and a BLT, the sandwiches came in no time and were delicious. Be warned these sandwiches are huge and you may want to share so you have room for desert! The selection of deserts is fantastic and they all looked superb...we... More

Steak Sandwich (#19 on the menu) is to die for! Ordered medium rare, and got medium rare. The steak is HUGE and comes on soft, warm garlic toast. My favorite steak sandwich in all of Palm Springs.

We had 2 meals here when we were in Palm Springs. The pastrami sandwich was out of this world! The Russian potato salad was unusual but delicious. My other favorite food was the blueberry cream cheese French toast. Yum, my mouth is watering just remembering it! We took a couple desserts to go and they were great as well. The... More

You kow you're NOT in SF anymore when you actually get a meal that's more than 3oz al together. The food is good, great portion sizes, overwhelming and tasty dessert case. And the atmosphere is crazy toned down Cheesecake Factory but still super groovy and inspired. A must go!

Our large family group was seated quickly, served promptly. Extensive menu...and enormous portions! We all had a deli sandwich of some sort, and we all took half home. My niece and I shared a very thick pastrami on rye...the best pastrami I've ever had, with a nice smoky flavor. The others in our party exclaimed at the tastiness of their... More

Every time we visit Palm Springs, CA we make it a point to have lunch at Manhattan in the Desert. This past February we had another couple join us and they were impressed with the lunch. Each of us had the 1/2 sandwich and soup for $11.99. We each chose our own type of sandwich which came with a pickle... More

We ate here several times on our vacation. The food was fresh, fast, and fantastic! The combo sandwich was too big for my tiny Canadian tummy to handle, but it did not stop me from trying! My next visit, I had the soup and 1/2 sandwich instead and it was the perfect meal size. The sandwich was STILL massive. And... More
