Wife and I were on vacation and needed a home-cooked breakfast to start our day. We used restaurant.com to find this gem. We weren't so sure of our choice when we drove up, but once inside we were treated as family. All portions were generous and the service was excellent. It is very difficult to find decent breakfast places in resort towns, and Palm Springs is no different. A Bit of Country is just sort a place. It has good food at good prices in a very friendly environment. They cook to order, I had the corn-beef hash and eggs one day and asked for the hash to be well-done,... More

A country style breakfast to die for. Comfort food and a friendly down home environment make this a must to start a day of hiking and sight seeing.

They are only open for Breakfast and Lunch and feature all the expected Homestyle Cooking entrees that you would expect. The seating is limited, but the food is worth the wait.

We have walked and driven passed Bit of Country numerous times in the past few years. For no special reason, we never stopped. That changed today. We went for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and just the right size serving. We ate outside--nice added touch on a splendid day in Palm Springs. Breakfast and lunch... More

So friendly. Local flavor. Very accommodating. Simple standard breakfast fare. I'll be back. Look for the colorful painted front wall.

Break little breakfast place in Palm Springs. Also serves lunch. There are several alternatives, but for a "local" flavor it is a good choice. Some standard breakfast choices, plus you can be creative and do some substitutions. If the weather is nice, there is a front outdoors patio for dinning and people watching. The tourist crowd goes to Elmer's and... More
