Consistently Good Mexican Food

We are in a rut with original Las Casuelas, and think that their creamy guacamole and cheese enchiladas are the best around. The enchilada sauce is quite flavorful. If the system allowed half stars, I would have given Original Las Casuelas 3 1/2 stars, not just 3. There were a number of positives about our dining experience there last night. First, although I like the interior wall murals, I found the general inside atmosphere a bit on the dark and unappealing side. Having picked an outside table on... More

Got a kick to learn from waitstaff that the restaurant suspends happy hour during the March-April busy season. Seemed shortsighted. Had been led to believe they have a good menu for those with celiac disease. A big disappointment as the menu was extremely limited to mostly salad and fajitas and was also told the kitchen mixes the oils for frying.... More

4 of our ate here at a recommendation from a Mexican server from another great restaurant. He was not wrong! So glad we tried it. Excellent food, drinks and service! Highly recommend! If we are ever in the area again we will go back!

In an area with many decent Mexican food options, we keep coming back to "the classic", Las Casuelas , which is our benchmark. Although the passing of time causes it to be somewhat off the beaten path, finding it's worth the effort. Even having been there many times, we always have to watch carefully for it or it's easy to... More

Good Mexican food and Margaritas. Open airy place right on the Old PS strip. I've had better Mexican food but this is more than acceptable and a fun place to just hang out. I would not hesitate to eat here......

We frequently dine here for many reasons; the food is excellent, it's small & quaint, little to no wait time, great service, BEST chips & salsa, guacamole, tacos & chimichangas ANYWHERE!!! There is another location (Terraza) about 2 miles down the street which is 3x the size, has entertainment & a full bar. If u want atmosphere/nightlife & full bar...head... More

This is a very big and busy restaurant. Make a reservation by mid-day if you want to have a normal dinner time. On a Saturday night we arrived about half an hour before our 7:00 reservation so that we could have a drink in the bar before dinner. We sat down at a table and waited and waited. It looked... More

Two locations… one quiet, one happening with a house band and whole bar scene. The food and top shelf Margaritas were excellent. Very minor language barrier with the waiter as English was clearly his second language and was having a hard time getting our order straight. I also ordered food for delivery from LA Bites and it was delicious. The... More

We sat in the booth Elvis sat in and ordered his faves. The Margaritas were good as was the food. The staff are friendly and attentive.
