We stop here every time we are in Palm Springs. Very friendly staff, great service and excellent food.
We ate here back to back nights and it's probably 1 of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. My partner and I don't like eating large meals at night so we split our dinner and still left feeling quite satiated. I believe that we shared the 2 cheese enchiladas both nights. they split these with no extra charge. the... More
We stopped here for lunch to sit outside and enjoyed the tasty salsa and chips. Dishes were great and we took left overs back to the hotel. Authentic tastes were great!
Thanks for the nice comments Golem ... great to hear that you enjoyed! ¡Gracias! More
One of those typical Mexican joints you find in a small town. Typical chips, one kind of decent salsa. Decent service. Old-ish atmoshpere. The food was very good, and had a non-traditional flair. We ordered the Guacamole apetizer thinking it was going to be SOMETHING for the 9.25 it cost. You get basically a large ice cream scoop of chopped avocado... More
Dave ... thanks the nice comment about the food at El Mirasol. But it sounds like we didn't deliver what you expected on service. My apologies and if you have time to go into more details about what we could have done better ... feel free to drive me an email. I'm always looking for constructive feedback. ¡Gracias! More
Great food with outside dining and heaters. I had the pollo with mole sauce and it was spicy goodness. Sadly, no room for dessert.
Pollo en Mole is a staff favorite ... glad to hear that you enjoyed it too! ¡Gracias! More
Food was fresh and delicious. A step up from typical Mexican fare. Offered a variety of dishes and margaritas were great.
This Mexican restaurant was recommended by our hotel as good authentic food at a reasonable price. It didn't disappoint in any way. The food was tasty and the menu featured some interesting, non-standard choices. The service was very fast. It's a large place and the staff knows how to get the food out quickly. The atmosphere is pleasant with some... More
Our hotel recommended it but we thought it was average. The margeuritas are over priced. The food we ordered was rather bland (tasted on pare with homemade meals). The chicken was very dry and the load of cheese on it didn't cover that. Maybe ir was an off night.
Hola Sue ... sorry to hear that we didn't meet expectations. And since you live in BC ... hard to get you back to give us another try. You are right even great restaurants (not sure we qualify, but we are striving for greatness) can sometimes deliver substandard plates. Sounds like that may have been the case during your visit.... We went with a friend who has been here before. I have read the other reviews and agree the food is not super spicy. However, I may lead a sheltered life, but I've never seen chicharrones on the menu anywhere. To the waiter's credit, he warned me that it was pork rind. Not anything like any pork rind I've ever... Glad you enjoyed the chicharron ... definitivamente not an everyday type of dish!!! We tend to stay toward the middle of the road with the level of heat in our dishes but for people like you who might enjoy a bit more heat ... may I recommend asking for a couple of "Chiles Toreados" (grilled, salted Jalapeño chiles) that go...
