My husband and I have eaten at this well-known deli several times on previous visits to Palm Springs. As we pulled into town this trip we made a bee line to have an early lunch. I like the 1/2 sandwich and soup (this time hot pastrami sand and a bowl of broscht). Husband had a whole chopped liver. There are... More

The lunch specials were good and filling. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat. Thanks.

Heard such great things about this place, so I was really disappointed, It was overcrowded and overpriced, Got 1/2 pastrami and 1/2 chopped liver and neither was worth the money or the wait. I don't get it. Guess retirees want a taste of "home", but I for one would never go back. Give me a NY or LA deli any... More

My husband ran over to Sherman's Deli while we were waiting for the celebrities to arrive at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. We were starving and another group had ordered from there because it was in walking distance. We shared the grilled ham and cheese - thank god because it was HUGE! Very delicious and lots of ham. It... More

i believe this place is definitely over-rated. i was disappointed in almost everything i ordered. Specifically, the chopped liver, for which my mouth watered, was BLAND! absolutely void of good taste; they say they bake their own rye bread, but the baker needs to find a REAL rye bread recipe, likewise, i brought home a package of "kichel." Again, i... More

We visited Sherman's twice on our visit to PS. The first time, it was just my husband and myself. I like to try new things and so against my husbands thoughts, I ordered the Matzo Brei?sp. Other than being badly burnt it was exactly as described in the menus except the tasteless part! Oh dear! The second time, we went... More

This is a little bit of the East Coast dropped into Palm Springs. The food is familiar and reasonably priced and the service is just what you would expect. It may not be the place for that quiet evening with that certain special someone (and beware the onions and garlic if that is your intention), but it's hearty food that... More

We've visited a number of deli's in a number of cities and this one is very good. Unlike many of the New York delis the service was cheerful and efficient. The pastrami was excellent and the potato salad and coleslaw fresh and tasty. The rye bread was excellent too and our only disappointment was that we didn't have room for... More

We had breakfast here three times, it was excellent every time, menu has large selection with Some unusual choices, like lox and bagels. I had one of the biggest and best French dip sandwich I've ever seen, plenty of food for two. Fast expert service.
