We had dinner here after visiting the living desert zoo. We had there taco plate any three kind of tacos rice and beans for 8.99. They have 8 different kinds of meat. Tacos are loaded with meat bi tortillas. the guacamole was good. If you are in the area stop by its an excellent whole in the wall.

Review is strictly on their tacos! We had 4 different types... +ground beef (good) +fish (good) +carne asada (good) +shredded beef (the best) very moist, meat had a lot of flavor. Tacos contained lots of onions & cilantro...perfect! Their salsa was also good! Service: Friendly staff. *Note They have every type of taco you can imagine: Tongue, cabeza, birria, pastor,... More

The staff are very friendly and they serve up excellent mexican food at great prices!! Large menu, lots to choose from, the salsa is excellent. Seems like alot of locals eat here. Located in a strip mall close to the airport, this is a simply decorated restaurant with not a lot of ambience. However, they more than make up for... More

A local "joint" staffed with very nice people who take great care of you. The food is inexpensive and delicious. Great variety with some unusual choices. Try the Torta Ahogada, which is a Mexican sandwich dipped in enchilada sauce. The burritos are huge and you can get them covered with enchilada sauce or cheese. I enjoy the chilaquiles for breakfast,... More

The food is made to order and does not come of a steam table like the food in the large restaurant chains.

Tired of mediocre and overpriced Mexican food on the main drag, we got into our car and a couple of miles to a strip mall near the airport. We tried this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. While the inside of the restaurant is nothing fancy, it is clean and bright. Even though the restaurant was full... More

We were visiting Palm Springs and call San Diego home, where arguably some of the best Mexican food in California can be found. The reviews of El Taco Asado were good so off we went. It's nothing special inside but it's not unusual to get great food in such a place. Like the reviews said, the service was very good... More

As a native of Eastside L.A., I'm a bit of snob when it comes to Mexican food. And, surprisingly, it can be a challenge finding the real item in Palm Springs; usually, it requires a trip down-Valley to Cathedral City or Indio. So far as I've been able to tell from my three years in the desert, Taco Asado is... More

Visited this place on the recommendation of a friend and glad I did. This is true authentic Mexican food. Exterior of the restaurant is deceiving, it appears to be a business park on the outside. Interior is average but welcoming. Many tasty selections on the menu. Salsa is HOT! Food arrived hot and quick. Wait staff is friendly and welcoming.... More

A good place for breakfast, or a last minute meal before heading to the airport. (It's 2 blocks away.) A friendly, convenient place to eat with reasonably priced Mexican food.
