The place is crazy old, which may be a turn off for some...but we thought it was cute. The server we had was so friendly. And the popovers, WOW! That was the best part of our meal. Light, airy, delicious.

This place is a blast back to 1800's..An authentic English Pub restaurant with really "heavy" dishes (dieters please don't expect a salad bar). OMG the popovers are so great and so unexpected instead of rolls or bread. I had a ton of leftovers so no one is leaving feeling empty!! Close and walking distance to the Vagabond and Curve hotels... Food is awful, lighting and setting is gross. I cannot stand this place and being British I hate the fact they try to even cook British food. Totally..............vomit really.

Only visited to have drinks at the bar before going for dinner elsewhere. Our American friends thought it would be cool since we are British. As soon as you walk through the front door the smell hits you..old folks home!!! At first it's quite funny how 'English' it is but then it is a bit overwhelming with tacky memorabilia everywhere... We have gone to Lyons a number of times over many years. On our most recent visit, we stopped mainly because other restaurants along our route home were crowded and Lyons was not. There are a number of reasons for that, the main one being the food... Salad was limp, not crisp. The barbequed ribs consisted of huge bones loaded... More

Mr. Lyon just celebrated his 100th birthday in April. His collection of art is incomparable. From 15th century stained glass to 20th century collection of memorable is not to be duplicated in any museum. He is an historic collector par none. The beef Wellington is the best you will ever taste and the cocktails are to be saviored. our hat... More

The Lyons is decked out like an old English Tudor Inn. Very nice, excellent staff, great food. I had prime rib which was top notch. After dinner my Mum and I had cocktails in the lounge and enjoyed the live entertainment, a talented singer very much in the Nat King Cole style. When we moved to the lounge my Mum... More

We enjoyed our fine dining at this lovely restaurant and the unique English décor. The lights are dim and add to the relaxing ambiance. First we sat at the long bar overlooking one of the dining rooms and enjoyed drinks, Crown Press. We only order prime rib because it is the best at Lyon’s English Grill, full of flavor. Dining... We turned up without a reservation on a thursday night & the guy at the door asked if we had booked & disappeared off, only to return a minute or so later & usher us through to a almost totally empty restaurant & bar. It was not an appealing environment & welcome was distinctly lacking. The decor is very dated... More

Staying at a nearby hotel and, being English, it was suggested we should go to Lyons. It's remarkably kitsch and very well worth a visit. It's got a lot of English things that are thrown everywhere which makes it a great place to walk around whilst waiting for the food. You name it and they have it; Toby Jugs, stain... More
