The first time I visited in 2006 I thought I had found a secret gem, so I went back again in 2008 and it was not very good.... so, I thought I would go once again when I was in PS in May 2009. I just cannot recommend it anymore. The food was just ...eh... although the service was nice. more

What a disapointment! I called and made my recervation 5 weeks in advance for my partners birthday. He really wanted to eat there. We got there and waited 20 minutes for our table. Service was poor. We ordered apitizers and then they forgot our salads. I had the beef, my partner the rack of lamb. They were fair. Neither of... more

I have gone to John Henry's every year when I am in Palm Springs for the last six or seven years. The food is ALWAYS great, the drinks are ALWAYS great, the deserts are ALWAYS great. What more can be said...... yes the staff is interesting, but in a way it is amusing. If you come here and are a... more

Food is excellent with menu changes nightly. Desert servings are enough for two and delicious. Price could double and still be reasonable. more

Zagat knows their stuff!!! Rated one of the top restaurants in Palm Springs for 18 years and I know why.! Food is very good. Fresh Asparagus, candied carrots. Items not found at other restaurants. Talented kitchen Staff! Prices are fantastic. $13.95-20.95 for a complete dinner. Drinks are the Best in the Desert and cheap by any standard. Waitstaff is attentive,... more

Had dinner this evening on the patio and it was a treat as usual. It's our fourth time here and it has never been a disappointment. Good service, good food and the ambiance was great. The wine was very reasonably priced. Go early, the service is much better. more

A totally pleasant experience. Eat on the patio if you can. Excellent service and a well priced wine list (just avoid Salmon Creek). Tremendous assortment of entrees, seafood, rabbit, sweetbreads, veal, beef and much more. Generally well done in a French/Continental style. Served with a very good salad. Large portions and priced between $15 and $20. We started with a... more

Must say that i read the reviews before eating there. So I specifically got the Carrotts and asparagus. If you like sweet potatoes or yams that is the flavor very nice. We went at 7, ate on patio, atmosphere nice, quieter than inside. When you order the salad order it with extra onions and bleu cheese dressing...fantastic. We ordered the... more

There are far better restaurants in Palm Springs. Went here last night, April 24th, with a few friends. Have been here a few times in the past and last night was not much different except prices were higher and portions smaller. The courtyard was full of pretentious people, all thinking this was 'the' place. Sure, if you want burnt to... more
