Food was great, service was very good, prices a bit on a high side but I guess acceptable for Palm Springs. I gets a bit noisy since this is one of those open concept restaurants.

California is in a severe drought, we get it. Those of us who live here are working hard at conservation methods. This restaurant, once a favorite of locals and tourists alike, is taking advantage of the situation to attract what they thought would be good publicity. California already has a ban on serving customers water unless they ask but this... More

We were to Johannes by our server, Joe, at the Cork Tree. As the name indicates, their specialty is schnitzel. But for those not into that, they have a whole other set of entres. I had their signature dish, schnitzel and I substituted out the potatoes for spaetzle - it was wonderful. I started with their feature raw brussel sprout... More

Wish we had visited this restaurant earlier. The food we had was perfect and the service very friendly and prompt. We had the Malayan meatballs to start, that melted in your mouth. I had the Japanese Spice Crusted Ahi Tuna - best Ahi Tuna dish I have ever had. My husband had the Veal Cordon Bleu, which was excellent. Can't... More

Doing my TripAdvisor homework, I ventured to Johannes in that the menu looked interested and certainly different. from the mushroom soup, to the lamb rack to the chocolate covered cocoanut ice cream with raspberry sauce, excellent, excellent, excellent. Though busy, a nice quiet restaurant with excellent service and a very knowledgeable waiter.

A gallery owner recommended this restaurant, saying it is one of his favorites. We started with the tomato and mozzarella salad, drizzled in balsamic vinegar. It was great. Our mains were the flounder and duck, both delicious. Perhaps there could have been a bit less sauce with the duck, but that's a quibble. Dessert was Apple strudel. We had glasses... More

My wife and I chose Johannes based on other TripAdvisor reviews and could not have been more pleased. Johannes although originating nm,m on Austrian cuisine is a fusion of different dishes and flavors creatively combined. The restaurant itself is bright and contemporary with nice wood tables and beautiful modern art on the colorful walls, and a green apple on each... More

Last summer we went to Johanna's. They had a special for $10.00. It was so over the top that we went there every week. I hope they do it again this summer. Bringing all my friends. We had a blast and such a great thing to do in Palm Springs when it is so hot!!!!

Had dinner with a group last weekend, excellent meal pretty good service but don't agree with one of highest corkage charges in valley. The meal itself was quite good, the person who had the schnitzel thought it was overcooked but the fish was excellent with a good presentation.
