Outstanding restaurant!

Great food from a carefully developed menu in a charming outdoor setting - these essentials were accentuated by a very knowledgable and attentive staff that contributed to our exceptional evening. After nearly two weeks of variable, noisy and somewhat hurried meals in the "best" downtown South Palm Canyon Road food palaces we eventually found Le Vallauris, two short blocks away.... More

My wife and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was every bit the memorable experience we hoped it would be The ambiance is delightful. We did not expect to be dining outdoors under a canopy of beautifully lit trees. We chose to splurge on the Prix Fixe Degustation menu. Each course was a wonderful explosion... More

The food is pretty good, certainly not nouvelle, much more old style focused on rich sauces. Service by a never ending contingent of old dudes in tuxedos. Interesting atmosphere if you are not looking for contemporary California style. Try it once to get an appreciation of French food history. If I am killing it with faint praise, it is not... More

Thank you for your thoughts regarding our restaurant. Even if you think that our waiters are old dudes, they thank you for your kind critique. By the way, we only use cream in One entree, the lobster raviolis which is served with a bisque and the white fish with a Dijon mustard beurre blanc, you cannot call this excessive. Paul... More

On Sunday February 22nd three of us had dinner at this well appointed Palm Springs restaurant. The staff were all very cordial and professional. What did miss the mark was the following: 1. The quality of the food was OK and that is fine in most restaurants, save for one the presents an air of superlative and is only able... More

Thank you for your comments, but somehow we never called ourselves superior to anyone, if that is your felling, so be it. We must be doing something right, being in business for the past 41 years and I realize that pleasing every taste is impossible. As to our wine selection, you being a sommelier in the seventies, you might not... More

This is such a lovely restaurant! The food is superb, service is impeccable, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are dining in a small restaurant in France. If possible, sit outside! The lights and trees create such a warm romantic experience.

Typically I'll enjoy even a bad experience purely for the comedy of it, but it doesn't spare the place from having the story told on Tripadvisor: First - upon arrival we noticed there was a wedding on property - not the property's fault of course but the staff was clearly maxed out - people we spilling into the foyer waiters... We had a great dining experience at Le Vallauris. The valet parking is a helpful touch too. The setting is absolutely gorgeous with big trees lit up all around the courtyard, planted by the current owner about 42 years ago. BTW; this gentleman, into his 80's now, still makes the rounds every night and nothing escapes him. There also was... More

My partner & I had the most wonderful dinner in a lovely & charming setting. We were seated at a lovely table in the restaurant's back garden under one of the many large trees with lights. My partner & I just flew in from a long day of flying from NYC and were famished. We wanted to get the soup,... More

Do treat yourself at least once by coming here. When making a reservation (well in advance) ask for a table in their inner courtyard - it is so romantic. The service was outstanding - there are so many people who care about your dining experience throughout the evening. We enjoyed a well paced meal with delicious food. We ordered the... More
