We stopped by for drinks at Melvyn's, and very glad we did. This is classic old Palm Springs, and just a fun spot to take in all the sights. Lots of fun characters, good drinks, great staff, etc. Thanks for a fun time!

A wonderful throw back to 1960s dining from the fantastic live jazz in the cocktail lounge to the tuxedoed waiters flaming Crepes Suzette table side. I brought a friend for a special occasion and loved the setting but unfortunately the food doesn't quite live up to the elegant ambiance and attentive old world service. It's a shame that such an... We went to Melvyn’s for Thanksgiving dinner (11/27/14). It was a disaster from beginning to end. First off, my sister made the reservation - dinner for 5 - two months in advance and, at the time, specifically, asked for seating in the enclosed Terrace area of the restaurant. That didn’t happen! Next, we arrived at the appropriate reservation time (7:15... More

We had dinner here for a special occasion - our 30th anniversary. The food was excellent, filet mignon among the best I've ever had. The service was very good too. They knew it was our anniversary and sent a complimentary dessert to our table. We found the prices very reasonable, We'll go back on our next visit to Palm Springs

You definitely feel like you step back in time while dining at this restaurant. All of the waiters are in tuxedo's, all of the waiters are men, and some items are cooked tableside. We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Food is good - not the best we've ever had - but we did really enjoy our meal. The... More

We enjoyed the old world elegance and the service was exceptional but the food was not nearly as impressive. Although my husband though his his short rib dinner was good, My meal we pretty much a disaster on the plate. But there is a lot of history in this place, both in the room and in the staff and it... The Ingleside itself is a gorgeous old girl, check out the giant binder of photos they keep in the lobby of all the late greats who stayed here. Wander the grounds a bit, they are beautiful. Melvyn's is a real throwback to the time where food was prepared with great flourish at tableside. Our friends did the Steak Diane (flames... More

Stayed at the Ingelside Inn maybe 30 years ago, so when I found myself in Palm Springs I decided to look them up, remembering a great time. The restaurant is intimate and the food was delicious. It's like going back in time to the 60's (1960's). And to top it off the meal was priced reasonably. It was my birthday.... More
