Old outdated surroundings don't mind retro but this is worn out. Food is from the 70's and 80's and not fresh. Arrogant server's act like royalty. If it were me I would be embarrassed to serve the food. Gave them three chances they might as well have lifted the money right out of my wallet. Save me the irratation.

It's always a pleasure to go visit Melvyn's whenever I visit Palm Springs. It never changes or disappoints. The servers are so personable and attentive. Love the grounds- next time we are booking a bungalow!

Maybe I had my hopes up because of the hype. It just seemed like there were so many waitstaff who were not doing anything but standing around waiting to be told to do something which seemed odd. we waited over an hour to get our salad which I thought any of these gentlemen could've brought out.. One man kept filling... More

Melvyn's is old school. It has not changed much over the years, and for good reason! Why change a good thing? This legendary restaurant hosted the RatPack back in the day, and continues to host celebrities, locals and tourists alike. We enjoyed cocktails and an appetizer at the bar while soaking in the charm and history of the place. Please... More

Went for a martini as I read in a review, it was a great place to go for one. Ordered a martini with premium vodka. Asked for Bleu cheese stuffed olives, and bartender said they didn't have any. Then a few minutes later he kindly brought some to me, and said because they weren't busy he could. $16.00 for one... More

Want tuxedoed waiters? Ones that routinely served Frank and friends? Caesar salad made at table side ? Fun atmosphere and good service? Menu diverse and still a kickback when restaurant service was formal and impressive? I had the sole...it was perfectly cooked and beautify plated.

You must visit this place, it will take you back in time to Dean and Frank, which they did hangout often. Its the place to be and to dress or be casual. Super fun with great band, great food and super nice bartenders who have worked there for years. Highly recommend.

After waiting for an hour for our Martini's and then checking with the waitress where they were ... only to be told that the bartender wasn't speaking to her and I need to check with him. This I did... only to be told in a very condescending way that he didn't have our order. When I asked if he could... More

While spending a quick few staycation days in Palm Springs at the fabled Ingleside Inn, we decided to have dinner at Melvyn's. The hotel concierge arranged a last-minute table for us, and we're glad that she did. Although the dinner was pricey, the service was world class. Replete with obsequious waiters, a Maitre D', and a Captain, it was overall... More
