Zin American Bistro is an attempt to modernize and Americanize the traditional French Bistro concept. With Zin recently receiving 3 ½ stars and a review of “quite possibly the best food for the money in the Coachella Valley” from author Peter Osbaldeston’s Palm Springs Dining Bible, Chef Nicolas Klontz and wine director Mindy Reed have indeed raised the bar of casual fine dining in Palm Springs. Zin has over 200 wines on their list and has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 5 years. With choices from the Kobe Style Beef Burger ($16) and Mussels & Frites($18) to the Rabbit ($25) or a Prime Hanger Steak ($26) there is something for everyone. Be sure to save room for some house made desserts and a glass of port for a perfect finish. Attentive, friendly yet unobtrusive service with Wine Director Reed available to guide you thru her carefully selected wine list and Chef Klontz greeting diners personally between courses make dining at Zin a night to remember.

We stopped in for a late dinner while out for a stroll along Palm Canyon Drive. The staff was very kind to seat us close to closing time. I had the wedge salad and I have to say it was the BEST wedge salad I had ever had. If it wasn't so close to closing time I was seriously considering... More

I am a local and this is one of my favorite downtown restaurants. The food is supurb and expertly prepared by one of the best chefs in Southern California. Try the beer brazed Belgin stew, but the pomme frites (French Fries) served with 3 kinds of flavored mayonnaises are worth the trip to Palm Springs. The peekey-toe crab salad is... More

This is in the center of the town and the outside tables are great for people watching. There a Re mystery in summer to keep cool. The menu s varied and the food is good. The staff is very nice.

Write in the heart of downtown Palm Springs on a very busy corner is a unique restaurant and lounge. Patio and inside dining with very nice lounge area. Very good menu plus good wine selection and top shelf liquors at reasonable prices.

Zin is located south of Tahquitz, which is the main street in Palm Springs. It has a outdoor patio and great food. I love lunch here. They have a daily special and the prices are reasonable. This is a place to people watch. Next door is Fashion Fix which has great women's clothes and accessories. You will find lots of... More

We dined at Zin earlier this week. Our last visit was in January of this year when we were in town. Everything is still great as usual. The cocktails here are outstanding served by Josh. Our server Betty actually remembered everything that we had ordered on our last visit. The service here is great. Not rushed and sitting out on... More

I'm only giving this a "Very Good" due to the service, which was awesome. The food however, was not. Chewy old calamari, no thanks. The veal pasta we ordered had odd noodles and flavors that we were not expecting and we are pretty adventurous. I was simply not impressed. In their defense we were the last table to be seated...
