Description: Zin American Bistro is an attempt to modernize and Americanize the traditional French Bistro concept. With Zin recently receiving 3 ½ stars and a review of “quite possibly the best food for the money in the Coachella Valley” from author Peter Osbaldeston’s Palm Springs Dining Bible, Chef Nicolas Klontz and wine director Mindy Reed have indeed raised the bar of casual fine dining in Palm Springs. Zin has over 200 wines on their list and has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 5 years. With choices from the Kobe Style Beef Burger ($16) and Mussels & Frites($18) to the Rabbit ($25) or a Prime Hanger Steak ($26) there is something for everyone. Be sure to save room for some house made desserts and a glass of port for a perfect finish. Attentive, friendly yet unobtrusive service with Wine Director Reed available to guide you thru her carefully selected wine list and Chef Klontz greeting diners personally between courses make dining at Zin a night to remember.

It was super crowded on Palm Canyon but when you are seated here it is quiet and very welcoming. The service was great and the food was amazing Prices are competitive for PS they have great pre fix. Great wine selection.

A very short few years ago it was hard to find a good restaurant in Palm Springs that wasn't Mexican. THANKfully, that is no longer the case. Zin American Bistro gives professional service, tasty, creative food and yummy cocktails.

I asked the Hostess before I was seated 'how is the steak tartar?" and she said it was very good so I sat down and ordered it. I have eaten steak tartar all over the world and never have I seen it in cubes. It is always prof ground and filet mignon. This had big chunks of grissle and fat... More

It's been less than a week and I am having a hard time remembering what any of the three of us had to eat. I don't remember any problems with the food, it just doesn't stand out. We had a vegetarian in our group and she did find plenty of choices. I do remember the service was friendly and prompt.... More

This place was recommended and we had high hopes. The location and the ambiance were both fine. The service was good, but bordered on pretentious. The food was disappointing at best. I ordered a sand dab special. The fish was badly overcooked to dry leather, and I am reasonably certain that it was not actually sand dab, but rather a... More

we stopped in for lunch. it was a busy place. our waiter advised that they were short staffed, but after the initial delay, he was very attentive. the food beet salad, zin bites and schnitzel were all excellent. they have missters and it keeps the tables on the patio cool. we would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant used to be a favourite, but no longer. Food (hamburger and buttermilk chicken) were dry and bland. Belgian stew was ok but not great. Overpriced now, especially with the less than mediocre food. Must be a new chef?

Great location on South Palm Canyon to watch the throng passing by. Super crafted cocktails (try the Hotel California!). Their buttermilk chicken was among the tastiest preparations I've in years. Large wine selection and good prix fixe menu.

We recently drove over to the desert for a day of watching tennis in Indian Wells. We were staying in Palm Springs and asked the hotel for a recommendation for dinner. We lucked out on having dinner here. From the moment we were seated on the patio it was a wonderful evening. It's right on Palm Canyon, so if you... More

We have eaten here several times when in Palm Springs. The food is always imaginative and well prepared. Service us always outstanding and it has a real buzz too. Recommend it highly
