Description: Zin American Bistro is an attempt to modernize and Americanize the traditional French Bistro concept. With Zin recently receiving 3 ½ stars and a review of “quite possibly the best food for the money in the Coachella Valley” from author Peter Osbaldeston’s Palm Springs Dining Bible, Chef Nicolas Klontz and wine director Mindy Reed have indeed raised the bar of casual fine dining in Palm Springs. Zin has over 200 wines on their list and has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 5 years. With choices from the Kobe Style Beef Burger ($16) and Mussels & Frites($18) to the Rabbit ($25) or a Prime Hanger Steak ($26) there is something for everyone. Be sure to save room for some house made desserts and a glass of port for a perfect finish. Attentive, friendly yet unobtrusive service with Wine Director Reed available to guide you thru her carefully selected wine list and Chef Klontz greeting diners personally between courses make dining at Zin a night to remember.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Xmas dinner at the Zin Bistro. The menu was three course Prix Fix for the holiday. We made our reservations with the owner, Mindy and got reserved seating at the bar.The restaurant has a very warm but casual atmosphere. Upon our arrival, Aaron, the bartender introduced himself and told us he would... More

We stopped in for a lite meal, ordered Mussels and Zin Bites and a couple of beers. The food was good but didn't seem to be as good as what we remembered from our last visit. We had a couple of bottles of beer, $5 each which was pricey (Shock Top & La Quinta blond) and called it a day.... More

As you walk along Palm Canyon Drive one is spoilt for choice at the many brightly (and a few dully) lit restaurants. We had been in the States for a several days already and we're looking for something a little different. I think we found it when we stumbled upon Zin. It does look a bit like a Bistro, far... More

This indoor/outdoor restaurant is a great place to see Palm Springs visitors in their element. The food here is quite good and beautifully presented. They have a very nice wine selection - a bit on the pricey side. We've had the same experience each of the times we've eaten here - the service starts out great and then you never... More

The out door dining is great here. The street is busy with lots of people and activity. All the stores are open in the evening. We ate here twice while in Palm Springs over Thanksgiving week. The first night my husband and I loved it, we both had mussels with garlic and white wine sauce, served with fries and 3... More

Thank you for dining with us twice over the holiday weekend and my apologies for having to ask your server to step away from the table for a moment after serving your drinks so I could make sure that a special order in the kitchen she had entered would come out exactly as the guest had requested since we were... Whilst staying at Palm Springs it was recommended we dine at Lu Lu's Bistro for dinner . As we approached we saw Lu Lu's was a rather large bistro and it was crowded. As such we decided to dine at Kins All American Restaurant which was located across the road from Lu Lu's. We liked the menu, and it appeared... More

We always plan a stop at Zin's while in Palm Springs. Great open air seating, great vibe, hospitable service and fantastic wine list with many great affordable selections. They often offer "sales" on wine selections, very unique and welcome. The food is imaginative, choices well contained and very diverse in range. Great location on Palm Canyon for people watching and... More

If you're tired of same-o, same-o, try the Zin Bistro. Downtown Palm Springs, great outdoor dining watching people walk by - its just so fun. And the menu is different and wonderful. Yes they have a couple of burgers on the menu BUT the other choices are so unique - veal meatballs with spaetzle and a very tasty marinara sauce,... More

Finally a Restaurant that remembers that cooking and service is an art instead of buying their food pre-made from some sad frozen food distributor. We had PEI mussels that were fresh in a white wine sauce. The rabbit was lovingly prepared, cooked perfect in a fabulous mustard sauce. I rarely eat dessert but the cheesecake was awesome. All told, the... More
