Description: Zin American Bistro is an attempt to modernize and Americanize the traditional French Bistro concept. With Zin recently receiving 3 ½ stars and a review of “quite possibly the best food for the money in the Coachella Valley” from author Peter Osbaldeston’s Palm Springs Dining Bible, Chef Nicolas Klontz and wine director Mindy Reed have indeed raised the bar of casual fine dining in Palm Springs. Zin has over 200 wines on their list and has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 5 years. With choices from the Kobe Style Beef Burger ($16) and Mussels & Frites($18) to the Rabbit ($25) or a Prime Hanger Steak ($26) there is something for everyone. Be sure to save room for some house made desserts and a glass of port for a perfect finish. Attentive, friendly yet unobtrusive service with Wine Director Reed available to guide you thru her carefully selected wine list and Chef Klontz greeting diners personally between courses make dining at Zin a night to remember.

This is our third visit to Palm Springs since September and it's not a complete visit without a trip to Zin. First the cocktails. The cocktails are made with fresh ingredients and are outstanding. Josh takes pride in making some of the best cocktails in PS. Try the Hotel California or the Moscow Mule. The food is also fresh. We... More

This has not been our first time there, and we were disappointed with the hamburger (it used to be remarkable) but we need to say that our waiter knew a lot about wine and gave us very good advice.

Zin offers nightly special dinners for starters and mains. Sand dabs were excellent, service was accommodating, and all around experience fine for a party of 6. Good location for visiting the Film Festival in Palm Springs.

This is one of a number of restaurants on Palm Canyon Dr.in the middle of PS. About half the seating and the bar are inside, the rest is outside on the busiest street in town. It is within walking distance of many hotels. The food was good and the wait staff busy but attentive. I had rabbit in a Dijon... More

Out for lunch in Palm Springs ... I ordered the fried olives which came cold. My PEI mussels were dry and fishy tasting. Definitely not fresh. Had to spit the mussel out as I could not eat it. It was the worst lunch ever.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Xmas dinner at the Zin Bistro. The menu was three course Prix Fix for the holiday. We made our reservations with the owner, Mindy and got reserved seating at the bar.The restaurant has a very warm but casual atmosphere. Upon our arrival, Aaron, the bartender introduced himself and told us he would... More

We stopped in for a lite meal, ordered Mussels and Zin Bites and a couple of beers. The food was good but didn't seem to be as good as what we remembered from our last visit. We had a couple of bottles of beer, $5 each which was pricey (Shock Top & La Quinta blond) and called it a day.... More
