Description: Zin American Bistro is an attempt to modernize and Americanize the traditional French Bistro concept. With Zin recently receiving 3 ½ stars and a review of “quite possibly the best food for the money in the Coachella Valley” from author Peter Osbaldeston’s Palm Springs Dining Bible, Chef Nicolas Klontz and wine director Mindy Reed have indeed raised the bar of casual fine dining in Palm Springs. Zin has over 200 wines on their list and has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 5 years. With choices from the Kobe Style Beef Burger ($16) and Mussels & Frites($18) to the Rabbit ($25) or a Prime Hanger Steak ($26) there is something for everyone. Be sure to save room for some house made desserts and a glass of port for a perfect finish. Attentive, friendly yet unobtrusive service with Wine Director Reed available to guide you thru her carefully selected wine list and Chef Klontz greeting diners personally between courses make dining at Zin a night to remember.

There were 4 of us in our party, all entrees were delicious and well presented. We had a late reservation after the holiday weekend, not many in the restaurant but we were not rushed. The veal meatballs are amazing, a must try.

We had a wonderful dinner here. My wife and I eat out a lot but really only write reviews when we have wonderful experiences, and we definitely had one here. (We were staying with some locals that had told us that if we wanted atmosphere go to LuLu's, but if we wanted good food go to Zin... And they were... More

We live in Palm Springs and keep wanting to like this restaurant, but when we went to have dinner and sat at the bar we received horrible service, cold raw "fried chicken" on a plate that looked like only a 2 year old into "orange food" would love. We sent it back and all they did was reheat it on... More

We went for dinner during restaurant week. The food was good but nothing spectacular. I had two things that all I could taste was the fried bread (chicken schnitzel and zin bites). I couldn't finish either. My boyfriend got the peppercorn prime rib and beet salad, both of which were delicious.

Zin was a great street side dining experience. It was quite hot (high 90's at dinner) and the misters kept us cool while not dripping on us. We were fortunate to participate in restaurant week, which provided us with an opportunity to try more options than we typically would have. Both my friend and I were impressed with the food... More

Excellent meals at good prices. Great service. From the moment we came in the door until we left, everything went well.

Zin American Bistro is one of our favorite restaurants in Palm Springs. During our last visit on a Thursday evening (street festival going on in front) we were just looking for light fare and wine, and so we sat at the bar, enjoyed "small plates" and watched the crowds pass by. Partner had the calamari, which he really liked; I... More

Had good feelings going in as we got a lovely street-side table so we could enjoy the warm evening and people watch. The waiter was prompt in bringing us our menus and kept returning to try and take our order We finally settled on our food and placed the order. Then the trouble started.... things started arriving that were not... More
