Great food, location, service

I am Mexican so I am very picky about Mexican food, but this place is very good and I'd recommend it to anyone. I had the molcajete dish with steak and it was delicious. The margarita was good sized and great flavor. Not too expensive. Right across from our hotel so we loved it.

We loved the chips and salsa. All of the food was inspired by natural products, flavor and authenticity. The location is right next to the Sony Bono statue on the main strip. If you like to sit outside with masters and cool architecture in the plaza, then come here. All of our six meals were excellent and designed with style.... More

We stopped by a few restuarants as we were walking through downtown Palm Springs and chose this place for a couple of reasons. They were on the shady side of the street (it was hot out). The prices were quite reasonble for both food and drink. But at the end of the day it just looked like a fun place... More

The food was nice and fresh. Loved the salsa! Staff was attentive but not intrusive. Right in the heart of downtown. They had live music that was great. I would go back again.

We ate here after going on the Tram. Service was good and the food was too. I ordered the fajitas - a little greasy but tasty. Lively place. It was a good way to end a great day!

We enjoyed our food at Maracas - reasonably priced, nice music and GREAT margaritas! Extensive menu of typical Mexican food.

We visit the Palm Springs area almost every year but had never been to Maracas. We had our ten month old grandson and his parents with us and they were very accommodating. A lovely lunch with great service. We all had margaritas which were excellent. My wife and I enjoyed the barbecue chicken quesadillas. We'll be back on our next... More

We had a very enjoyable meal and nice frozen margaritas when we visited this restaurant. We asked to be seated outside so we could people watch as it was a very nice evening. They obliged and the service was very good. Not the best Mexican food I've ever had but it was good and plentiful.

Went to Maracas last evening before taking in the Palm Springs Villagefest. We got seated quickly and the waiter was attentive. The food however was disappointing. One can get better tortilla chips at just about any grocery store and the salsa was thin and had an astringent aftertaste. The bbq chicken salad was a reasonable size for a main dish... More

We dropped by on a Thursday night during the Street Fair. Just ordered a couple of Coronas and Chicken Nacho's. The wait staff was excellent, very fast delivery from the kitchen and the beer was super cold with frosted glasses. the Nacho's tasted pretty decent. When we arrived we requested an outside table (there were two or three open) but... More
