Oldie but goodie

Maracas is a quaint open air Mexican restaurant in the heart of Palm Springs. It's older and could use some spiffing up, especially inside, but the food is great. Great bar and happy hour.

We went here for dinner, with a group of 13 people. Made a reservation and everything with that was great. Food was just so-so. My husband ordered a margarita, which has no flavor and very little tequila. Chips and salsa were probably the best of the food items and they were very good at refilling them. I had a Flauton (giant... More

My wife and I took a very short trip to Palm Springs (one night), just because. The afternoon we arrived we decided to stroll the main street, even though it was 111 degrees. We got hungry, and decided to stop at Maracas for a late lunch/early dinner. We had never eaten here before. This turned out to be an excellent... More

Located in downtown, Maracas is a wonderful mexican restaurant. I had Street Tacos for appetizer, shrimp cocktail and chicken chimichanga. The shrimp cocktail was very mexican style, with cucumber, pico de gallo salsa. Chimichanga was so big (and delicious) that I could not finish. Staff friendly

We only had drinks but the waiter was very attentive, he came and checked up on us several times, did not forget about us because we had only ordered drinks. Right on the palm springs strip, chabelas were delicious one of my favorite places.

This is a nice Mexican restaurant. We ate here on a Thursday which unknown to us was the day for a huge Village Festival. Be warned, there is no place to park within a mile of downtown Palm Springs so if you have a car, come very early, I mean in the afternoon to get a parking space. It was... More

The place was busy so we thought it would be a good place, it was very dissapointing. Service was average, salsa tasted like store bought. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, was very small and the flavor was way below average.. Kids ordered a quesadilla with fries, quesadilla was so basic, no flavor and the worse thing is the fries tasted... Wait staff: The best I've encountered this year. I dropped my fork, and seconds later I had a new one put on my table. What?! Food: I ordered the seafood salad and it was the best salad I've every had! TRY IT if you get the chance! The next day I ordered the vegetable quesadilla and it was very good.... More
