Great find

We live in Palm Desert and decided to stop on our way home from LA, boy what a great find. We got a set at the bar right away. The drink menu is a lot of fun, interesting combinations. We shared the tricolor salad, super tasty and then split the sausage, mushroom, onion pizza. The ambiance is... read more

Terrible service.. waited 10 minutes until a waitress noticed we were at the hostess station. Was grumpily led to a table. A different waitress came by 10 minutes later to ask if we wanted a drink. At that rate, we decided we better order! They were out of two entee items and could only substitute spagheti for a pasta noodle.... More

We had been there two nights before, because the food was good and interesting. We walked to the restaurant in the afternoon specially to make an 8pm reservation. When we arrived we sat down, ordered and....60 minutes later after politely inquiring about the delays, we were told among other things that the kitchen was in "chaos". We were told that... More

The drinks are great!! Our server wasn't helpful and always missing Nonna's meatballs were great Pork Chops with apples were tasteless. Wouldn't recommend them. Artichoke and sausage with rigatoni was delicious.

I don't understand the inconsistent reviews of this place. Thought it was great. Had a beautifully prepared beet salad and a Caesar, and two pizzas, we liked the gluten free better, was a bit thinner and crispier. There are blankets available for chilly nights, a nice touch. We were seated on time and had very pleasant service. Wish we had... More

Happy that this restaurant was able to seat us for valentines day, without reservations! The hostess was very nice to us too, explaining that we may have to wait a little bit longer but we were ok with that, and in fact we didn't have to wait longer, we were seated 20 minutes earlier than expected. (we had arrived right... More

Tried two times to get in here, but was too crowded. Finally made it in on a Sunday night. Had to sit at the bar, but was worth it! Fantastic Italian food and a great outdoor atmosphere. Good drinks, good crowd, great food!

I was very impressed with Birba. We've all had enough Italian food at this point to feel like we natives, but the preparations here are novel and consistently excellent. We had 2 vegetarians dishes (broccolini with vinegar and chili flakes and a chard and persimmon salad) that both made us pause to stop and praise them. The pizza and pastas... More

My husband and I had a lovely dinner outdoors last night next to the fire pit. There are plenty of heat lamps, the lighting is LOW (use your phone's flashlight to read the menu), and the service is friendly. We experienced two small glitches, however, which did not appreciably detract from our dinner - but still. The menu advertised a... More
