Stopped here for a quick bite of lunch today, despite some of the negative ratings we have seen online. First, let me say that the fellow who owns this place with his wife is a charming host. I cannot understand some of the negative reviews that have said he is difficult, obnoxious or inflexible – except to say that we... More

Took my daughter for lunch here today. Had tried going 2X this past week but arrived at 8:02 and 8:04 p.m. on two separate occasions and they close at 8:00--both times, the owner, an elderly Greek man, was inside but he wouldn't open the door or talk to me--definitely left a bad impression (I really should've taken this as a... My husband claims that he had the best tzatziki ever in this unassuming strip mall restaurant. We made a pit stop there with friends during this year's Palm Springs Film Fest. All were pleased with their meals, although the Greek-inspired dishes rated better than the Italian.

Friends and I were driving through Palm Springs around lunch time. We didn't want to eat downtown, so we found this place on TA. Two of us are huge Greek food fans. The place is a true hole-in-the-wall and I was a little anxious when I say the deli fridge up front, but do not be daunted. The food is... More

Just to try something different my wife and I popped in to "Nina's Pita and Pizza" a small, mom and pop type cafe (pop's name is Dastic) with maybe 7 or 8 tables. Conveniently located at the intersection of Sunrise and Ramon (southwest corner) in Palm Springs it is easy to find and lots of parking. The menu is very... More

Nina's pizza and pita opened a few years go in a strip mall off of Sunrise Way in Palm Springs. Being an original New Yorker, I know good pizza when I eat it. Her pizza is pretty good and the Greek Giros look great also. The only problem I have with this restaurant is if you ask for a slice... More

There is no question that Nina’s Pita and Pizza has tasty food but the atmosphere ruins any positive impressions. Without doubt Nina is a pleasant hostess; however, the attitude presented by Takis is a definite spoiler. If you choose to go there for a meal, don’t take any children, eat your food quietly, keep both feet on the floor and... More

Found this place on TripAdvisor and we were pleasantly surprised since it is a small place and in a strip mall. Visiting from Phoenix we found the owner to be very accommodating and friendly! Great stories and conversation at the close of his business day. He didn't rush us out, brought us drinks out to the patio and told us... More

As a visitor to Palm Springs I have enjoyed Nina's for the third time. This time I took friends from San Diego and they were also impressed with the huge gyro at such a reasonable price. It really is too big for one person but I always manage to eat all of it. Next time I am going to make... More

Truly wonderful food. I ate there twice during my visit to Palm Springs. A "hole in the wall" type but we ate outside and all of us deemed it the best place we ate. Went back on Sunday afternoon as it was our last day in town but it wasn't open on Sundays!
