The specialty here is paddock fish tacos. My friend had that complete plate, soft drink and chips. Assorted salsas available. I ended up with the shrimp burrito full plate. The server came to the table many times to ask if all was satisfactory. He even pointed out I had food on my chin. Very polite and helpful. Food did not... More

Rubio's started 40+ years ago featuring fish tacos. They've grown over the years to offer burritto, enchilada and taco selections with fish, chicken and beef. No bar. Beer only. I tried the salmon tacos and my daughter had the Spicy Shrimp Tacos. Try the original fish taco as well! Clean, good courteous service. Manager making the rounds and keeping an... More

Amazing fresh food with fabulous flavours. Could eat the Chipotle Orange Salad with grilled Shrimp every day. Who needs to pay big prices for sit down Mexican seafood?

A family member, who does not favor such fare, chose this California chain when we insisted on a Mexican lunch. It was absolutely wonderful! The place is squeaky clean, everything is fresh and I personally tasted the best burrito I ever put in my mouth - Burrito Especial. Other proclaimed the fish tacos as outstanding. If only they would open... More

Was looking for something a little different, so decided to stop by Rubio's Mexican restaurant. Ordered a chicken bowl salad and it was unusual but really good. Good blend of salad and chicken. Rubio's also lets you choose your own salsa from a selection of four. It was a nice relaxing place for lunch.

Never ate here before and did not realise it was a "chain" until I saw the back of the menu. Nethertheless, we were very impressed with the food, really tasty and very fresh. We had the fish tacos, and shrimp salad with mandarin dressing, very good. The kids enjoyed their meals too, quesadillas and tacos. (The churros that came with... More

Even though the temperature was 122* outside inside it was about 94* and stuffy inside when I asked if the A/C was out the manager said they were on it.....should be fixed soon. by the time we got our food it was oppressively hot and we had to eat very quickly and not enjoy it. The AC Repair man showed... More

We have become regular Tuesday patrons since we discovered Rubio's about six weeks ago. The fish tacos are an astounding $1.50 after 2:30 pm every Tuesday! They are simply the best fish tacos I have ever eaten, anywhere. They place freshly fried, beer battered Alaskan Pollock on a warm white corn tortilla. It gets drizzled with a zesty white sauce... We decided to try this place based on a friend's recommendation. I love fish tacos but have had no luck getting my husband to try them. Until today, that is. When we entered the restaurant we walked to the side so we could look up at the menu and take our time. An observant employee walked over to us and... More

What a great place for lunch or dinner. The food is fresh and full of flavor. The prices are very fair. The chips and salsa are fun to taste and compare.
