You won't leave hungry.

Our annual trip to the desert usually means a trip to Papa Dan's. The bread, served with both butter as well as crushed garlic, oil and Parmesan cheese, was warm and chewy. The pizzas had generous amounts of toppings, although the kitchen forgot to make one of them. They made it as soon as they... read more

This was our first visit. We tried it cause of my reading the reviews. The service was okay. Serving our pizza was very slow, but worth the wait. My husband had the mushroom and sausage individual pizza and he loved it. Plenty of toppings. I had extra cheese and ham and it was delicious. My pizza came made perfectly to... More

My husband and I decided to give Papa Dan's another try even though our first visit a few years ago wasn't great. The first miscue this time was no bread plates for the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I ordered the Portobello mushroom ravioli with marinara sauce. The order arrived with a blob of plum tomatoes and the ravioli was... More

This was the worst pizza ever. maybe the other items on the menu are good but the pizza was really bad. We may have just gotten a bad pizza but please do yourself a favor and go buy a frozen pizza.

We'd heard from several neighbors that Dan's was the best. My husband is not a pizza fan but he was a good sport and ate it--and really liked it! It's a family friendly place but not a pizza video game arcade atmosphere -- and everyone seemed to be enjoying the place--and ordering other Italian dishes--not only the pizza!

Just felt like having pizza. Went to Papa Dan's on the recommendation of my sister and brother in law, who joined us. I decided to order a small pizza for myself - thin, light on cheese only. Came exactly as I wanted it. Crust was excellent, crispy, not soggy. My husband got a sausage sandwich, which he said was OK... More

Ordered take out of Margarita pizza (okay), Italian Wedding Soup (great!) and an antipasto salad - also great! Delicious and plentiful food and a good value!

Wandered into this restaurant after visiting the grocery store next door. The spaghetti and meat balls were ok but the star of our take-out was the antipasto salad! Very fresh and had lots of cheese, artichoke hearts, black olives, salami, and the salad dressing was perfect!

On a recent trip to Palm Desert, we stopped and has two meals at Papa Dan's during the 4 day stay. First meal was lunch, mid afternoon when the place was pretty empty, and we had sandwiches which were pretty good. Next day we had pizza for dinner, and it was a medium Papa Dan's which their combination and very... More

We stopped by to get a pizza to go based on the recommendation from our neighbors. The restaurant itself was underwhelming...dark, floor was dirty with a bit of trash, greeting was "sit anywhere" while walking away...It was as if we were bothering them. We had already planned on take out and I was glad. We thought the pizza was good... More
