Fish Taco!

We stopped in for lunch and I ordered the Tres Amigos Tacos. The pork melted in your mouth. The steak was a little tough but very flavorful (wish it would have been cut into smaller pieces). My husband had the fish taco and it was wonderful, the cod was grilled perfectly. I wish we would have found... read more

We enjoyed the evening, dining outside. They offer margaritas with 3 tiers of tequila which is great. We all opted for the top, best tequila. Yummy, very strong!! Be sure to eat. The special relleno was delicious. I chips were actually the only disappointment of the evening.

Last year Armando's had a fire and he was forced to close. Throughout the summer Armando's clients passed by this long standing Mexican Restaurant looking longingly for any sign of re-opening. Yes, we visited Blue Agave another Mexican restaurant which is the same family and while very good, it wasn't Armando's Eventually there was a sign that said reopening in... More

After the kitchen fire Armando's was closed down but has recently re-opened. New heaters and other equipment have been installed but the restaurant has the same charm as it did in the past. The margaritas have always been an attraction. They taste a bit different, or I may be older. The grilled calamari appetizer is delicious. With the best patio... More

Wonderful place on El Paseo. For app, try the Queso Fondido, Quesadillas or Guacamole. Service is fast. House margarita knocks your socks off. Great selection of draft beers such as Negro Modela, Dos Equis, Stella. Sit inside or outside. I recommend reservations as place is small but desirable. Friendly staff will leave you happy and well served.

we always loved going to Armandos for lunch as they had excellent mexican food and you could sit outside with the mister on on the warm days... the food was excellent and it was right on El Paseo Dr. well, last time we went to Palm Desert we learned that Armandos had been destroyed by a fire. we heard they... Armando's line has been disconnected for weeks. The kitchen fire was long ago. They had legendary margaritas and a delicious fajitas recipe. A great place has circled the drain.

Come for the inviting patio out front, stay for the margaritas! The food here was fantastic, very good mexican with lots on the menu. The patio is right on El Paseo so you'll be busy watching the busy shoppers and expensive cars pass by. But the real winner were the margaritas. Make sure you arrange a ride home, you'll need... Whoa, we showed up at Armando's a few weeks ago and found it shut down due to a fire?!!! Please re-open quickly. We love eating outside and watching the foot traffic. In the pre-fire days, Armando's was one of our two favorite places to eat in Palm Desert.
