Description: Our Pizza is a true traditional Neapolitan Pie. The dough must be fairly soft, slightly chewy, thin, but crispy as well as a bit charred with a high border "cornicione" (which is "the frame" of the pizza). The Neapolitan Pizza is all about "balance"… The tomato must barely cover the dough and should not be precooked at all. The mozzarella fior di latte must be sliced in a few small pieces and should not be spread to cover the tomato. Basically if you are looking for lots of pasty cooked tomato with funny Italian seasoning and a lot of melted processed mozzarella then you are in for a very disappointing meal. We hope you’ll order something else from our great menu. Buon Appetito

I was delighted to celebrate my birthday lunch at Piero's. We sat out on the enclosed patio with a lovely view of the shopping district of El Paseo in Palm Desert. The food was so very good. We started with an appetizer of Ipswich, MA fried clams. Being originally from Massachusetts, I really appreciated a taste of home. The flatbread... More

Recently, I had my first experience dining at Piero's on the occasion of my wife's 50th birthday party. I wanted to do something special for her and a group of friends and family while we were celebrating her birthday in Palm Desert. I researched dinner options online and discovered this highly rated establishment. I had not considered Pizza for a... More

We were seated on the shaded patio with cooling mists delivered at a nice pace. Fun place for people watching. The wedge salad was perfect. The pizzas were tasty, the crusts crisp but not singed. Stay with the familiar pizza toppings. The special with white sauce, garlic, chicken, and artichoke hearts was not a good taste combination -- also, too... More

It is a welcome change to find a restaurant that attempts to make pizza in an authentic manner not the north american stereotype. Reasonable in price, cheerful and always busy. Worth a stop.

If you make a reservation you should ask to be seated in the open air area. It has a roof but the outer wall is open to the street. El Paseo is a nice drive with luxury stores and restaurants and a great place for a "paseo" (a walk) after your meal. The house bread with two oil dipping sauces... More

Went by for a late night dinner. Was really greated like a regular by the owner. Was seated with a great view of the street and shops. The salad and bread (wrapped in parchment paper) along with the speck and meatball pizza were some of the best I have had. The crust was cooked just right but still nice and... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Started with fried zucchini blossoms and asparagus wrapped in pancetta. I had an excellent pizza and my husband opted for the prosciutto wrapped meat loaf served in a red wine and mushroom sauce which he said was excellent. The teenagers had the rigatoni with fresh clams and mussels and oops--forget the other. Friends had... More

We ordered takeout from Piero's based upon a Yelp review. It was excellent. Portions were large, food was good. Sauce on meatballs and spaghetti was one of best I have had. Fried artichokes were great. Cannot comment on service because we did take-out, but place was very busy.

We had the best real Italian Napoli style Pizza I have found in Southern California so far. Certainly the best in the Palm Desert/ Palm Beach area. I have to admit that my husband and I are Pizza Snobs. I grew up in Germany and spent every summer in Italy growing up and until I was 25 years old and... More

Great casual restuarant on El Paseo. Thin crust pizza is one of the best around...you also have to have a side of the meatballs...yum. Great food, great wine, great prices. It's lively and just the right size. Nice enclosed patio for year round dining.
