The BNP Paribas Tennis tournament was great this year. They added 3 new restaurants & Piero's is one of them. We tried it and for the first time didn't have to leave the grounds for lunch. Mama Gina's on El Paseo & Piero's Pizza Vino on El Paseo are all owned by Piero. Year after year Mama Gina's has been... More

We started with the fried artichokes and goat cheese, which I would highly recommend. 3 of the 4 of us ordered pizza, which were advertized as "personal size" but we probably could have shared 2 between us. I ordered the salad with chicken, glazed walnuts and goat cheese...it was not remarkable. Stick to the pizza...authentic and great.

Pietro's is small and the tables are close together but the noise level is okay. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer with delicious sauce, followed by Bura white pizza and a large Italian salad. Service was pleasant and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

First off, there is a choice of seating; outside on the covered terrace or indoors. Then the menu is great. Wonderful selection of antipasti, variety of interesting salads, pizzas, meats, baked pasta dishes and specials. We tried the Tuscan wedge salad and the Tuscan kale; both were great choices. The dressings just wonderful. Then we ordered the smoked salmon, caramelized... More

This place has good, but not great Neopolitan pizza. They use the "00" flour with higher protein and they have the Forno oven. The two absolute essentials. And they cook it well enough, which isn't always the case in some places. And in greater Palm Springs, this is the best we've had. But that's sort of the point. If you've... More

We tried Piero's two nights in a row mid-afternoon, so we were not in the middle of the busy time, particularly on Saturday. Both times it just missed the mark. The service both nights was quite good. A very nice start. The first night Calamari was recommended. Order it - overdone and batter was way to done. The waitperson told... More

Came here on a busy Tuesday night. The place was full, every table taken. We were three girls, who ordered stuff to share. A smoked salmon & caper pizza, a prosciutto & arugula pizza and a salad with iceburg lettuce and bleu cheese. For dessert, we got the "ravioli" which is a deep fried "ravioli" made with wonton wrappers and... More

The gluten free Margherita pizza was the best we have found. The crust tastes like any other great pizza. We also ordered the Asparagus wrapped in Italian Pancetta. That was delicious also.

yes crust was good, ingredients were as fresh and good as cooked veggies can get, but good is still just good. place was full and seem to be on verge of breakdown as owners, waiters, servers, and maitra d' are in a power struggle to organize seating arrangements. had reservations but still took 20 minutes to be seated. our reservations... I do have to apologized for the possibility that the service was a bit slow and for the wait. What everybody is experiences now is the busiest period of our crazy season.. I'm glad that the food was good and the server had a good attitude. The Burrata cheese, for anybody information, is what it is. Meaning..It's basically a cream... More

I've been a fan of Mama Gina's for years when visiting Palm Desert so I expected their new casual place to be good. Not disappointed!! We were able to sit on the covered patio which was lovely on a March day for lunch. Ordered the baby kale salad with pine nuts, pecorino & roasted garlic. Fresh & tasty! Full order... More
