We had dinner here for the first time and were very pleased with our experience. This appears to be family run with two very young girls doing the seating. Service was great accommodating our various requests to make each dish more to our liking. Food was very good. The place is bigger than it appears from the street, but the... More

Showed up for happy hour and had a few margaritas; watch out for these margaritas they are very strong. I ordered the carnitas and the dish was fresh and tasty. Service was great in the bar and in the restaurant. I recommend this place for everyone that loves Mexican food.

Great lunch with friends. Not your normal Mexican fare. Everything delicious. Guacamole hand made, worth the price. Their salsa is fantastic too. Off the beaten path, very basic decor. A gem.

Second time we ate at Fresh Agave. Was wonderful! The margaritas are to die for, and the food is delicious! I had the steak fajitas and my wife had a shrimp plate. Both were great. My steak fajitas were large enough that I took left overs home for another meal. We will definitely be back again!

Our flight was delayed so we stopped here for dinner straight from the airport even before we checked in. There was a fairly long wait (45 minutes+) for a table for four, but we managed to get a place in the bar area pretty quickly. The black beans were really good, the rest of it was pretty standard (but decent... More

Fun, and really good food. A bit more casual than Guillermo's. We ate fajitas, taco platter, a burrito and shrimp enchilada. Best was the shrimp enchilada and steak fajitas.two could have shared the fajitas order. Was a hassle to get a reservation, so we showed up at 510 pm. Was full. Put our name in and hit a couple of... I started with a margarita that was divine. I could taste the tequila which makes it top notch! You will want to start with the guacamole as well. We all had different entrees and enjoyed the generous portions. Authentic Mexican cuisine! I suggest making a reservation. We waited about 30 minutes for a table and the bar was jam packed.

Tried Fresh Agave because of a coupon deal. We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. It was very crowded and noisy! The service was friendly and helpful and the food was good but not exceptional. I doubt we would go back.

I do not know this to be fact, but from what I hear fresh agave was opened by the employees of another Mexican restaurant on El Paseo.. And let's just say we have not been back to the other one a on El Paseo since we found fresh agave.. Do yourself a favor and get the queso with terrezo (sp?)... More

Tableside guacamole is excellent. Margaritas are serious to say the least! My wife asked for extra lime juice.....of course she was driving! We enjoyed combo fajitas - steaming hot....and enchiladas - both were wonderful. Convenient location right off 111 - easy to find and park. Casual place with good service.
