Excellent Mexican food

Like the staff, loved the food. The wait was long, but not too bad, without a reservation. Drinks were very good. PRices very fair...

This was an excellent find on Highway 111. We stopped in for a late lunch and shared the "tacos for two" - food was plentiful and very good. The best part was the marguertas with fresh agave of course. The specialty marguertas can be pricey and are very potent. Will definitely return on our next visit to Palm Desert.

Haven't been back since Nov. The service was slow (granted it is always busy here and that is why). Food was just ok. Gaucamole was bland. Salsa spicy. Fajitas loaded with more onions and peppers than meat. Only serve 3 small tortillas with it too so you need to ask and pay for more. Won't rush back.

Met some friends for dinner at Agave. It is tucked away off Hwy 111 between Lupine and Sage roads. I had the chicken burrito which was huge and two margaritas. Fantastic. Service is great. It was a bit noisy once the place filled up. Reservations recommended for dinner. So many good Mexican restaurants in the area, but I'd go back for a... More

Dined here last night with a party of four. I had the skinny margarita and others had regular margaritas-both good. Started with guacamole that they mix table side. Great, fresh flavors. Then I had the tortilla soup. It has chunks of pepper jack cheese on top that once melted are delicious. It is not your typical tortilla soup but I... More

My husband took me here for my birthday and the meal, service, and food were all outstanding. It was crowded and noises but it only added to the atmosphere. Be sure to call ahead for a table.

Do not waste your money. I am sitting at the restaurant currently (waiting waiting waiting) for our server to bring the bill. The ceviche was decent - it's is the watery tomato based kind, but wow the carne asada. My mom and i shared this meal, both of us looked at the meat and wondered exactly what cut they used.... More

I came in the summer and had the best Chicken tostada ever. I returned this winter on a visit and saw the line was out the door - but their service is excellent and they quickly seated me. I once again had the best chicken tostada I ever ate. And the margaritas are WOW!!! Fantastic.

Family dinner on a Monday night - jam packed - make a reservation! Not to worry, the margaritas and nachos kept us very happy indeed. The menu offers a wide variety - with the Diabla (sp?) Shrimp being the clear winner - spicy! The fish tacos, although delicious, were a tad bland but the black beans and rice made up... More

This is seriously delicious Mexican food. We went on a Monday night at 6pm and it was already so busy we got one of the last seats in the bar. Always a good sign. The atmosphere was lively and busy in a good way. The margaritas were delicious and you could definitely taste the alcohol. I ordered the Carnitas Guadalajara... More
