for Pacifica, and even the foodie paradise of San Francisco, this is a GREAT restaurant. The food is consistently amazing -- except the pizzas. Those can be totally removed without any tears shed. Try the Panna Cotta, it's to die for. more
Tried Barolo after hearing about it from a fellow golfer. Was my wife's birthday dinner. Food was very good; HOWEVER, our whole dining experience from sitting down to getting our check was 2 hours. Since the portions were not huge there was alot of waiting. No communication whatsoever!!! In the end the waiter apologised and said that there was a... more
Love it! My husband and I eat here at least once a week. We LOVE the lobster, scallops, and flat iron steak to name a few. The corn soup is not to be missed if your lucky enough for it to be on the special menu. more
Barolo is in on Grand and San Pedro (in south Pacifica known as Pedro Point) where Ristorante Mare used to be. It has great food, and is easily the best restaurant in Pacifica. I recommend the Caeser salad, clam chowder, steak with gorgonzola, pot roast, short ribs, pizza, and more. They used to have a gnocchi with vegetables that was... more
Barolo is tucked away in the Pedro Point region of Pacifica, and offers a selection of well-prepared food. Our favorite is thethe flat iron steak that comes with gorgonzola mashed potato's and swiss chard. Absolutely wonderful every time. Pesto gnocchi are also excellent are as the butternut squash ravioli. Definitely work checking out. The flat iron steak runs $18, and... more

She gave us comp calamari appetizer because of this. Wasn't very tasty, I've had much better else where, but the rest of the dinners and... more
I just about had one of the worse dining experiences in this restaurant. While the staff is quite polite, it took about an hour to receive the main course. I ordered the ravioli, which was undercooked and so I had the waitress take it back. She gave me a new plate about 10 minutes later, and unbelievably, my ravioli was... more
A newcomer to the Pacifica dining 'scene' Barolo is run by the owners of San Francisco's Vignette Restaurant, in the old Ristorante Mare location. The location may be the same, but the room has been modernized since Ristorante Mare, and so has the food. Terrific calamari, carpacchio, and a steak my children fought over. The pizzas were also very good,... more
