A view of the water and fresh fish

If you want a crab sandwich and a view of the water this is the place just south of San Francisco on Highway 1.

Everyone has their own taste but for me Nicks has the best crab sandwich anywhere. I have tried so many and now I don't even try anymore cause once you have found it you just stop looking. Crab no filler just crab and very little mayo. The best.

I felt like we were stepping back in time. This family institution was established in 1927. Our family restaurant was established in 1983...I have much respect for this family/business. The owner herself was working the host stand...that's why this business has tested time. Excellent location, excellent lunch. Iconic Crab sandwich, with cheddar, and avacado on sourdough. It was tremendous. My... More

My wife, my aunt, & one of my aunt's friends ate her for lunch last week. Amazing seafood. My aunt had the crab louie, her friend had a crab sandwich, my wife ordered grilled prawns, & I had the daily special which was a breaded halibut. We all raved about the generous portions of the excellent foods. Highly recommended.

Nothing fancy - a throwback to the 70's place. Great view, friendly staff and really good food. The Crab sandwich is what everyone talks about - for good reason! Also the Shrimp and Crab Louie salad was wonderful. The garlic bread and eggplant fries were bonus treats. It's not cheap, but for the view and food, well worth it.

This place is not fancy....and it gives you the impression you are back in the 70s... that said the staff is friendly / efficient. While the menu has lots of decent choices it is their famous crab sandwich platter (about $20) this is the thing to get here.

The wait time to be seated was less than expected. While we waited we enjoyed a cocktail in the lounge. From our table we could watch the sunset that was amazing! The food and service were very good! We've eaten here multiple times and Nick's does not disappoint. The place is a bit dated, but we feel that gives the... More

I have been to Nicks several times. It is Beach Front you can not get any closer. Stay at the Sea Breeze for great Ocean View and best price on room if your not picky. Room is clean and has everything you need. Not fancy and a little out dated. Now that I am older I need a better mattress... More

We had dinner on July 3rd and got to listen to a country band that had everyone dancing and having a good time. We ordered the garlic bread and calamari for appetizers and they were both yummm and good portions.. I had the open face crab sandwich which was very fresh and my son had fish and chips which he...
