Glad we stopped in!

My husband and I stopped here so that my husband could get some seafood. He loved the calamari steak! The garlic bread (free!) they serve is really delicious... I got the tortellini and it was great. Service was friendly and quick. The only negative thing was I thought some of the prices were... read more

unfortunately Nicks isn't what it used to be. Not only do we pay for our garlic bread, we barely got any and it was undercooked!

After about an hour heading south on highway 1 from San Francisco we started to get hungry. Normally we'd grab our phones and look for somewhere good to eat. However we had no signal so took a chance. Took a random right turn and found nicks. We weren't wowed by its curb appeal but it had a stunning view. We... More

We had a terrific lunch at Nick's. Food was very fresh and tasty. Service friendly and quick. You have to try the garlic bread, with fresh garlic on sourdough bread slathered in butter. Easy to get to from Highway 101. Be sure to sit by the windows if you want to see the view. Nick's parking lot is between the... More

We were persuaded by a local to try Nick's as an "old time" fish house. We had cocktails while we waited, and I had a hard time discerning any rum in my mojito. My wife's gimlet was good. We started with the speciality crab cakes, and they were very good. The specialty garlic bread was over the top with garlic,... More

it was our first dinner in the US. we were suffering jet lag after a 4 hours morning in Beijing, 12 hours flight, and then 12 hours day time visiting SF. it is really good to find a place like Nick's to sit down, have a glass of great California wine, and see the ocean. but the food is really... There were a lot of people here on a Tuesday night which is what drew us in. We were surprised by the prices and wondered what families with little children were ordering. We both ordered fish; one daily special which was mahi and another an almondine.. The addition on the bill was off by $3 and when we told the... More

Nicks has been in this location seemingly forever. I remember even coming here as a child, and I could swear nothing in it has ever changed. The food used seem to be much more upscale than it does now, but it is still a great place for a good seafood dinner at reasonable prices. Casual and comfortable, with a witty... More

My husband and I were in town helping our kids move and were given a recommendation on Nicks for lunch by a nice lady at the uhaul place. It's in a cool location, down by the beach, my son and I had a Sriracha bloody mary while we waited about 15 minutes for our table at the bar, and it... More

We ate and drank here on the first night of our Californian road trip. We had been up 24 hours, travelling from the UK and stayed in the Best Western across the road but chose to eat here instead. Don't be fooled by the tired, windswept exterior, this was very possibly the best place that we ate and drank on... More
