Lovely views, lovely food, a bit overpriced.

Moonraker is a lovely restaurant with an amazing view! The food was beautiful, fresh, and tasted amazing. However, the food was a bit expensive, and the wine list was not as robust as I would have liked. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

While staying at the attached hotel, we decided to go eat at the Moonraker restaurant. We walked up to the hostess stand, and the hostess told us we could go sit in the bar until a table was available. When my husband saw many tables clean and set up, he asked the hostess why we could not be seated. She... More

Friends suggested dinner here - great idea! Located inside the Best Western with parking underneath (enter through hotel's porte cochere). We got a booth overlooking the beach area, which added greatly to our enjoyment. Service was attentive, meals delicious (pot roast was a hit, as was the petrale sole). Overall, a nice gem tucked into this small oceanside community!

My wife and I have been here a couple of times recently. First, the views are gorgeous. On our last visit, we saw a couple of whales playing not too far offshore. That made for a wonderful ambience. The food is well prepared. It's not inexpensive, but it's good. On our first visit, we both tried the cioppino, and it... More

A good value...excellent steak and the clam chowder is wonderful. We didn't have a reservation required to get the best table at the window but it didn't matter, we still had a great view. We ate breakfast there too (the menu only mentions scrambled eggs but they did over easy, excellent dark orange yokes). The service is better than average... More

Our experience was perfect, each time we visited, for breakfast and dinner, and after dinner. The view of the Pacific Ocean was amazing, at all times of the day. The crab dinner was superb. This was a family vacation (with a few picky eaters) and we had a great time. We would return again, anytime we are nearby.

We went to happy hour and had the oysters on the half shell - really tasty. The bruschetta is also tasty. We also had breakfast there and it was also wonderful.

We stopped in Pacifica on way back to San Francisco from Monterey, and wanted to have an upscale meal with an ocean view. We found Moonraker. We had an early dinner at 5, so did not get to see the sunset, but the ocean view is beautiful, as we saw whales, sea lions, and a variety of sea birds. We... More

First of all the way that they set up the food service is excellent. I like the idea of certain items you can order at your table, and they will bring it to your table. For instance you can order your omelet, sit at your table and enjoy your brunch, and they will bring your omelet to you, rather than... More

Every dinner seat in the house is a spectacular view of the ocean. I had the wild mushroom ravioli and it was super great. Hubby had the seafood cioppino. Service was good.
