The cappuccino we had was tasty, and the almond croissants were very delicious. The service was good even though it was very crowded the time and day we went. Overall, this would be a place to get some sweets again when we're back in Pacific Grove.

We live around the corner and eat here often. All of the desserts are top notch, moist and not over the top sweet. The coffee is French if you like that dark roast almost burnt taste. They have the best veggie crepes ever! There is also a beautiful view of the water on a clear day, love the indoor garden... More

Everytime we have been in this area, we visit Patisserie Bechler. The pastries are pure French--light, tasty, and flavorful. We ordered pastries and take away soups--potato, clam chowder, and carrot. We were astounded by the quality and tastes of them. In my opinion, Patisserie Bechler is the best bakery in the Monterey Peninsula and one of the best in the... More

"Fine French Pastry" is their harkening sign which brought us in. We looked at the case of pastries, and while we were skeptical after viewing, we decided to sit down and try their luncheon offering which got rave reviews. We sampled their onion quiche and chicken crepe, both with side salads which were underdressed and contained some past acceptable as... More

A bit away from the normal visitor locations, but worth the trip. Everything in the bakery is amazing, and the relaxed breakfast area is an undiscovered favorite. Great coffee!

I like to go here for last minute cakes. Everything is always beyond tasty. My main gripe is the last time I was in I didn't have any cash. Only my debit card and the Chef/owner? Was so rude and it made me feel unwelcomed. I have always enjoyed their cakes but, never again.

The croissants, especially the one with cream cheese filling are divine. The mini quiches are super yummy. One had sundried tomatoes and was scrumptious but the standard ham and cheese was yummy too. The thumbprint type cookies with fruit filling were also fabulous. And, the prices were fair. Definitely worth the visit!

Patisserie Bechler is a local favorite for the best in Alsace-Lorraine cuisine. It opened in 1984. Chef Bechler can thank the mother of his children for giving this place the warmth and feel of the area he calls his homeland in France, complete with a stork on the roof! I remember when the wall mural was being done to depict... More
