We vacation in Pacific Grove each summer and this is our first stop. Everything is divine. We love the berry cream cheese danish. This time we tried a roll that has an egg baked into it, very tasty too.We have had sandwiches, bear claws, danish, and lovely loaves of bread. You really don't want to miss this place, it is the... More

We tried $32.00 worth of pastries about $3.00 each for Breakfast. We (age 16 to 71) took tastes of several of the pastries from Pavel's. Our favorites were a mixed berry with cheese Danish, Bearclaw, Chocolate Croissant, and a plain Cheese Danish. All the pastries were so big they could be shared with the seven of us all clamoring for... More

Donuts bigger than the size of your heads yet really good quality? Yes please! We came here not knowing what to expect - but very much satisfied and glad we stopped by this little gem. We got there around 8am before a day of hiking around Big Sur, and there was a little line out there door. Once they run... More

This is the real deal. Placed on a side street. Walk to for locals. If you see someone walking their dog down the street on a weekend morning with a big, white bakery box in their hands, it is from this bakery and the bear claws and chocolate croissants are already gone!

Love the breakfast treats and the sheperder's bread is the best I've ever had! My kids love the donuts the size of your head!

Stayed in PG at a B&B. The offerings of Pavel's were so great, we skipped breakfast at the Inn twice.

The pastries here were amazingly huge. We went 3 different times over the course of our stay in Pacific Grove. Even with the large size of the pastries, they were surprisingly light. The donut was especially tasty and not as filling as many other pastries I have had. My kids really enjoyed it!

We had some friends and family visiting so we picked out an assortment of items which were all delectable. Each of us got to taste a little of everything and the peach danish was the last thing that everyone saved for last thinking it would be an ordinary danish. To our surprise it was the most amazing peach danish EVER!... More

OMG! Really to die for baked goods. From breads to pastries to donuts. It's a small place with plenty of varieties to choose from but they have limited quantities of what they are selling. So get there early by 8:00am for the best selection and buy more than you will want because everything is so good. I wanted one of... More

You have to get there early. The line goes out the door of locals purchasing their favorite pastry or bread. Yes, the donut is the size of a dinner plate for $2. Yes , the bearclaws are one of the best I've ever eaten in my life. Yes, the sourdough baguettes are one of the most delicious I've had anywhere.... More
