May not be in Beantown but the chowdah' is pretty tasty. The fried seafood platter is abundant and tasty- fresh scallops, salmon, king prawns, squid. Not the most scenic setting being right in town off the tourist drag but hey, you're there for the food, not the view.

Boston roast chowder was loaded with scallops fish shrimp oysters. Creamy chowder so delicious. Combo seafood platter can be ordered broiled grilled breaded and fried. Incredible. Not greasy. This place knows how's to cook fish. Fish is fresh fresh fresh

We don't go here often, but when we do, it's always great. Excellent food, good service, unpretentious atmosphere, substantial portions, and convenient parking! What more could you want?

Much better prices than a lot of Monterey Seafood places( especially on Cannery Row or the Wharf. Unique items. I had a shrimp sandwich and my wife had a Crab sandwich(real crab). Very good fish n chips and chowder in bread bowl, salad. Kids can draw on the paper table cover to keep them busy while waiting for food.

This is a traditional seafood cafe with a great menu and wonderful food. Excellent service and moderate prices. Love the squid and chips. We come here every year when visiting Monterey.
