Long time favorite

We've been coming here for years. Great friendly service, wonderful food, and margaritas too! My go to dish is the artichoke and mushroom enchiladas, a real treat. It does get busy so plan your time. Walk around PG if you have to wait a bit.

Great fish, wonderful artichoke and mushroom enchiladas in a pleasant atmosphere. The only drawback----this place is so popular it is often crowded and hard to get into.

We had to wait a bit for a table, but that's reasonable on a Saturday night. They didn't seem thrilled by our group of 8. Once seated, the service was good, the salsa was spicy, and the food was good. Veggie options, typical Mexican restaurant dishes.

We chose Peppers because of the good tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed! We had read that the portions were huge so did not order an appetizer. The margaritas are very good and cost $7-$10 based on which tequila you chose. I ordered the steak fajitas that came with homemade guacamole and salsa, fried beans and rice...a huge plate of... Three of us tried the chili rellenos and they were delicious while one of our group tried the enchiladas and expressed equal delight in his dish. The restaurant is located on Fremont Street just off Lighthouse and well worth the try.

Half a block off Lighthouse, in downtown Pacific Grove you'll find Peppers, a clean, comfortable family-friendly Mexican food alternative to higher priced restaurants on the Monterey Peninsula. Food is good tasting and portions are good-sized although fairly Americanized as Mexican food goes. Servers are friendly and atmosphere is very good. Kids are welcomed and offered a kid's menu and colored... More

Very good vibe here. Many people seem to know each other and the staff give a warm welcome to both regulars and visitors. The brightly colored art made for a cheery dining room. I enjoyed the orange margarita and there is a good selection of beer and wine. There are many good seafood items on the menu. The snapper was... More

we did have a reservation and walked by many who were biding their time. This is not a typical Americanize Mexican restaurant. No white or yellow cheese for the chips. The drinks are very good a little small perhaps and a little expensive the orange margarita was very tasty the other drinks were very good also the cimarron and the... More

The 4 of us visited Peppers on a Saturday night with no reservation. We decided to gut out the quoted 45 minute wait, which ended up being 10 minutes. The mushroom, calamari and grilled pepper appetizers were fantastic, as we're our Swordfish fajitas. Out of the appetizers, I'd say the pepper was the best. Service excellent, pricing very fair. Go.

I had a delicious mahi mahi salad that was light and flavorful. My friend had a chile relleno and two sides and it was huge. She took half of it home. The other friend had a chicken fajita salad and she said it was good. The service was fast and they were attentive. The down side is the seating which... More
