A great little place.

I had been there a couple of years ago and was really impressed by the food and drink. Tried to find it this last trip but forgot the name and was disappointed. On the morning out of town, behold, there it was. Next time for sure.

This place is way over-rated. Totally your basic Gringo-mexican food restaurant. The basic chips and salsa in the wood bowl with wax paper. Blah blah blah. Just go to El Torito and get the same thing. Your basic big platter with rice beans and your choice of enchiladas, tacos, fajitas...disapointing it has such a high rating.

Located just off the main drag this is some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Portions are quite large and very tasty. I'm sorry I haven't been going here for years.

Lovely busy atmosphere. Food was fresh. We got the chicken tamales and chicken tacos. The chicken was very dry in the tamales.

Great prices, wonderful food. I had the swordfish tacos and they were great, my husband and daughter loved their meals as well.

Huge menu, reasonable prices, great service and a lively fun atmosphere. Peppers is another favorite gathering place for the locals, which is almost always a good indicator. My family, friends and I had our first grand meals at Peppers many years ago, during P.G.'s annual Good Old Days Festival......it's been a tradition ever since. Peppers has THE VERY BEST corn... Small room, cool atmosphere, great food! Good service too. We wanted to get away from cannery row and this was a perfect spot.

After all the good reviews we expected something really good. The service was fairly good and the place was quite busy. Our food was terrible. Chicken Fajitas come with bland rice/beans, Chicken had little flavor and comes in strips sitting on top of a bowl of wilted onions/peppers, no cheese, no lettuce, they put sour cream blob on top of... On our way past at 6:50pm the place was bouncing, full of what looked to be a local crowd, all looking to be having a great time. I was glad that when we went back past at 9:00 that they were still serving. The service was polite, prompt and helpful and the food was very tasty. Great beans, cucumber, salad... More

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night without a reservation. The place was PACKED! Seems most people coming in had a reservation. We waited about 20-30 minutes for a table. Our waiter was the best waiter we have ever had at ANY restaurant. He was professional and polite while also being very personable. The food was delicious and... More
