If you are looking for very fresh Mexican food, Peppers is the place. It is a fun, attractive location in Pacific Grove. Good portions and some of the items were so fresh, it seemed they were coming right out of a garden behind the restaurant. Our only complaint is the food was rather bland and could have used more flavoring.... More

We showed up late after a day at the aquarium, near their closing time. We were still greeted warmly and treated well. Food was excellent and different than typical mexican food we've had before. They even tried hard to make something for my picky child who simply wanted a 'bean burrito' like home. Very great with kids (compared to other... More

This is not your usual stodgy Americanized Mexican. It's lighter, fresher and tastier. Whether you go with combo's or one of their specialties, it's all good...and the margaritas are excellent.

This place seems to be jammed no matter which day or time you pick, but it's easy to see why. The food is excellent, served in generous portions and well spiced. Last time i went, I had a superb chicken mole enchilada (you can order two, but one is plenty) preceded by crisp chips with two kinds of sauce and... More

great local restaurant, the staff is friendly and the decor is fun and funky. The bad news is the food is so bland. Not what we expected at all. You have to add so much salsa and hot sauce it just drowns out the dish. I had a tostada salad that needed basic seasonings and just had no personality. Go... More

The Mexicali food was not excessively "hot" (certainly there were jars of hot sauce at each table); rather the taste was provided by fresh vegetables and sea food. The sword-fish tacos (including back beans. guacamole sour cream and cheese) were perfect. They serve a corn chowder that is not to be missed; I believe that the corn is first roasted;... More

Some days a person just needs a margarita - that's when you go to Peppers for their fresh awesome margs. House marg is great and great value. Their version of a cadillac marg is pretty darn good too. As for food, I wish they would season their food a bit more but I'm still a huge fan of the tacos... More

We gave it a try and had a great time and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. They have a good menu with great food and drink, what more could you want? We will be going back the next time we are in the Monterey area.

My wife and I were looking forward to eating at this restaurant because a friend of ours recommended it to us. But, I must say the food had no taste at all. Very tight area to sit and eat. The service was bad, it seemed that the server just didn't care to help us or not.

Our latest visit featured mushroom and artichoke enchiladas. They were great. Everything else we ordered was also good. The Sparky's root Beer is a quart: share with a friend!
