An absolutely superb meal Dungeness crab cake and scallop for starters, and a goats cheese salad ( I wish I could have this every day), and rockfish in a rum sauce for mains. A lemon verbena creme brulee finished off a fantastic experience. The chef for sure knows how to cook. Retaurant table were a little close together but we... More

The seafood is superb. We have dined at the restaurant many times through the years. Somehow, the place maintains the level of excellence over all this time. At this last visit, we chose the "less expensive" selections. Both were excellent. The rockfish was cooked perfectly. As other reviewers note, the adult beverage selection is extraordinary.

A bit out of the way of the bustle of Monterey but still very busy and with a number of local people which is good. Booking I would think is essential at weekends and holidays. On arrival there is a small reception area so nowhere to sit and have a drink before going to your table but the nature of... More

Me and my husband came across this lovely seafood restaurant on our visit to Pacific Grove. Even though it was crowded (and having eaten here I now know why) and we didn't have a reservation, we were seated in a couple of minutes. The waitress was very friendly, service was fast and most importantly, our portions were absolutely delicious. If... More

Had an amazing meal here. Everything was cooked so beautifully, every mouthful was savoured! Such a great combination of ingredients for each dish. The sparkling and wine that we had was great too. Absolutely loved this place!

We asked a local for a restaurant recommendation and wound up here. Great food and service, nice people. I had the fried Morro Bay oysters and the sturgeon with white bean salad. Both were fresh, tasty and unique. My friend had the heirloom tomato salad, and the spicy fish soup, which she said was the best soup she ever had,... More

The menu features fresh, sustainable food and the chef's innovative creations make them wonder why everyone isn't doing this. We opted for seafood with a scallop appetizer, pan fried tilapia, and rockfish in a rum sauce. Very creative use of vegetable accompaniments. The fried gorgonzola appetizer on a bed of greens was also delicious. Very extensive wine list. We enjoyed... More

What a wonderful meal, and I need to mention that the prices are below those of other restaurants that lay claim to higher quality. The restaurant itself is designed in a minimalist style that stresses long, low grey banquets against white walls that impart a sense of serenity and modernity. The owners are saying that Passionfish is part of the... More

My choice of lobster was probably not the best, but my companion had tilapia, and it was wonderful. Salads were creative and delicious. The service was tops.

I came here recently remembering the fabulous meal we had a few years ago, and was happy to revisit it, and patron one of our own local restaurants. My order was fabulous, well seasoned and flavored, but I left Passionfish with an upset stomach. Although I was rather full with trying to add just a few more bites of our... More
