One of our best meal in California. The scallops were perfect. The wine list is not expensive. I will go back.

The scallops were the best seafood dish ever, something I can't imaging duplicating. The salads were fresh and plentiful as I had the brussell spout salad and my husband had a gorgonzola sale. Also the wines are listed at retail prices which is a real plus in any restaurant and particularly in California.

We stopped here because this restaurant was a Top Choice in the Lonely Planet guidebook. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained that all the fish they serve is sustainable, which is great! We ordered the crab cake to share and the tilapia and rainbow trout for out mains. Each dish was delicious and came with vegetables presented... More

After hearing this restaurant was James Beard nominated I was for sure we were in for a treat! But, to our dismay we were very disappointed. Food was decent, but that is all it was--just decent. Maybe it is just the case that Monterey does not have much of an elevated food scene, maybe this is just one of those... More

My BF had eaten here before, so he remembered that PassionFish has excellent desserts. And they do. But that's about it. First, whoever is the hostess over there, needs to be trained. We called several times to make a reservation and she was clueless on how the phone worked! And when I called back to change the time of the... More

The seafood here is amazing - we had 4 different mains and they were all incredible. The service was polite and attentive. The wines might leave something to wish, but the expectations for local wines were not that high, so not a problem for us. Price-wise also very reasonable for the high quality - a total of 240 $ for... More

My wife and I recently were in Pacific Grove and she wanted to eat here, as we have done in the past. It has been approximately five years since our last visit and it certainly won't be our last. Although not a large venue you do not feel cramped or put into a box at the restaurant. It is tastefully... More

No I am not the daughter of the owner, yet this gushing review is due to the capacity of Passionfish to propose a multi-course (eight i think) dinner for a group of 18 out of town golfers and friends who, though entering somewhat tired, were lifted up by the inventive dishes, adept service and apt wine pairings in a room... My husband really liked his food, but he tried two wines by the glass that were not even table wine quality so he sent them back. Before we were seated I asked if they could accommodate my dietary restrictions (vegan, almond allergy) and the host said it would be slightly challenging, but they could do it. I was given a...
