This is the best sea food restaurant in the area. The service is great, the food wonderful and the display on your plate absolutely beautiful. The noise level is a little high if you get noisy folks there on the night you go.

Passionfish is a local restaurant for me and I visit it frequently. I can always count on the quality, freshness and sustainability of the seafood; the professionalism and upbeat attitude of the wait staff and the "intelligent" pricing of the broad selection of wines.

This was our first time at Passionfish, and we chose it to celebrate our 30th anniversary. As the restaurant knew that this was a special occasion for us, they had a special 30th Anniversary menu printed for us, which we thought was a very nice touch. The servers were exceptionally friendly and cheerful, remembering our anniversary several times during the... More

The restaurant is busy, bustling. Servers are friendly and well informed. Food was very fresh, very good, attractively. We found it very warm, cooler would have been nice.

We were a group of 4, so we were able to try a few dishes. We started with the scallop w/caper rain walnut relish and artichoke risotto cake, albacore tartar, honeyeyed goat cheese salad, and ricotta bee pollen gnocchi - these were very delicious. For dinner 2 of us had the had the pork adobo with jalapeño - chicharoni rice... More

This was one of the best restaurants we visited during our travels in California. It was recommended to us by some locals we bumped into whilst out there a did not fail to disappoint. Food: Tasty food and a good selection of fish and steak - Personally recommend the gorgonzala starter and scallops main. Cost: Not cheap but resonably priced... More

We love fish and like so many people who live near water enjoy fish regularly at home and in restaurants. We were told Passionfish was the best fish choice around and although we also wanted to admire the coast we went for the menu over the view. We were not disappointed. The halibut was superb and the sturgeon was equally... More

My husband and I had dinner at Passionfish our first night in Monterey on our honeymoon in December and I cannot fault this place, it was the best meal we had in Monterey by a mile. We had the venison stew, lemon verbena creme brûlée and a great, if a bit pricey, bottle of Russian River Valley wine. The restaurant... More

This restaurant is great for both couples and families, and the wine list is very good and reasonably priced. The meal was delicious! We ordered two appetizers, the seafood stew and the bass crudo. The seafood stew had a delicious spice to it, and the bass crudo had a much more chilled ginger topping that really "popped!" when you first... More
