This was a lovely restaurant in Pacific Grove with excellent service and a creative menu. The dungeness crab salad with avocado and spicy ginger vinaigrette was well conceived and perfectly executed. I could eat that every day. The warm brussels sprout salad with Neutske ham, ricotta salata, grapes and mustard vinaigrette was an ingenious way to serve this vegetable. Surprisingly,... More

This restaurant was Californian inside and out! From the decor to it's VERY fresh ingredients in ALL the dishes. What a great pic!! The wine list was wonderful and our food was prepared healthfully and the ingredients were outstanding! The cost was even fairly reasonable. We were very pleased and would recommend it to anyone!!

Fabulous wine list, the appetizers, salads and desserts were all amazing. Our entree's were not bad, but no where near as good as the other items. The service was very good!

This restaurant serves only sustainable catch. The preparations are relatively simple and the fish is fresh. We were pleased with our meals. The wine list has a good selection, but is certainly not inexpensive, in any sense. The atmosphere is rather homey, though a bit closer to neighboring tables than we prefer. Cushioned seating seems to be at a premium.

We decided to take our daughter to this special restaurant for our family reunion and were not disappointed. The atmosphere, service and food were outstanding. We were impressed with the wine choices and enjoyed 2 small bottles of excellent California wines with our meal. We had the fried oysters for an appetizer with Navarro Gewertztraminer, second courses of the Brussel... More

Most customers go here for atmosphere, food and service... We were given a rave review for Passionfish, by the House of Seven Gables staff; plus, we were impressed by TripAdvisor.com's #3 of 75 restaurant rating... One spouse had a bad back, so we ordered two popular items from their menu, picked up the food at the restaurant, and brought the... More

I don't get it. The food was average. The server was RUDE. She made a production of asking if we had been there before and then launched into a speech about sustainable seafood. We thought we were in for a treat. I asked her to highlight some items on the menu, just in case I overlooked something special. She chided... More

We had a very good server. She was very attentive and helpful. I was disappointed in my Swordfish but my husband enjoyed his lamb.

Highly rated and popular, this restaurant is surprisingly low-key. It offers great fish, knowledgeable service plus wines at retail prices. Our starters included trout ceviche spicy salsa and striped bass crudo; both full of flavour and fresh. The mains included sturgeon with salsa and seared tuna with cauliflower puree; both perfect. What Passionfish lacks in atmosphere it more than compensates... More
