A very smooth, well-polished dining experience awaits you at Passionfish. We had heard all the raves and finally opted to try it last weekend for a Saturday dinner. It was a superb meal -- great service, unusual and delicious servings, and high, but probably worth it, prices. Our shared appetizer was the crab cake and it was divine. More crab... More

The food here was amazing; creative dishes, perfectly cooked. I had scallops, m girlfriend had rainbow trout. Both are served with creative and delicious sides. They don't just come with fries, like most things in the US! I had a savoury rice custard with my scallops. Good choice of wines, nice location, friendly service. Definitely one of the best restaurants... More

One of our best meal in California. The scallops were perfect. The wine list is not expensive. I will go back.

The scallops were the best seafood dish ever, something I can't imaging duplicating. The salads were fresh and plentiful as I had the brussell spout salad and my husband had a gorgonzola sale. Also the wines are listed at retail prices which is a real plus in any restaurant and particularly in California.

We stopped here because this restaurant was a Top Choice in the Lonely Planet guidebook. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained that all the fish they serve is sustainable, which is great! We ordered the crab cake to share and the tilapia and rainbow trout for out mains. Each dish was delicious and came with vegetables presented... More

After hearing this restaurant was James Beard nominated I was for sure we were in for a treat! But, to our dismay we were very disappointed. Food was decent, but that is all it was--just decent. Maybe it is just the case that Monterey does not have much of an elevated food scene, maybe this is just one of those... More

My BF had eaten here before, so he remembered that PassionFish has excellent desserts. And they do. But that's about it. First, whoever is the hostess over there, needs to be trained. We called several times to make a reservation and she was clueless on how the phone worked! And when I called back to change the time of the... More
