After a very disappointing meal in Carmel the night before, we went to Passion Fish in Pacific Grove and had a delicious dinner The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night but we didn't have to wait long for our reserved table. We had the smoked sturgeon and another fresh fish for appetizer,(yummy) followed by the Dungeness crab and avocado... More

Monterrey CA is a wonderful place to visit, and many do, but I simply have not found good restaurants there. However, Passion Fish in nearby Pacific Grove is one of the best seafood restaurants anywhere. It is not haute cuisine (i.e., over the top or pretentious), rather its dishes are inspired and excellent. I also give it great credit for... More

We have dined at Passionfish several times and thought the experience was decent. Food is fresh and pretty good however the portions are fairly small. We have a vacation home in Pacific Grove and are quite familiar with the area however would not particularly seek our eating there on a regular basis.

Best seafood restaurant on the Monterey Peninsula, maybe all of Northern California. Good wine list. Now, if it would only serve cocktails and espresso.

We loved it so much that we went twice. Great wine, not cheap, but very well priced. I recommend th scallops for sure, my wife loved the sturgeon and and it two nights in a row. The second night I had the mussels, big and juicy, loved the sauce.

We might have been spoiled after a couple of meals at Pebble Beach Lodge. We had reservations. The restaurant was crowded and we had to wait in a tiny area where we got an arctic blast (relatively, this is CA) whenever the door opened. Our host provided glasses of champagne which helped warm the soul. Service was good, and the... More

I am confounded by all the rave reviews for Passionfish. Somehow I think the patrons have confused "sustainable" with "delicious." While the food may be sustainable, no one in our party of four found it delicious. We reserved a table after reading the good stuff here on TripAdvisor. Had trouble finding it because there are two 701 Lighthouse Avenue addresses... More

Whether you are with a large party to celebrate a special persons birthday, which we did, or a couple, the service is always exceptional and the food is amazing. Well proportioned perfectly cooked and oh so delicious. Ask for their fried olives, not on the menu but if Ted can do it he will. From seafood to turf, always excellent.... More
