Popular seafood restaurant

Recommended by locals and printed reviews. Good selection, good service and reasonable prices. George gave us a complimentary taste of the most extraordinary calamari- unlike any other I've ever tasted. Ask for it.

We had lunch at the Fishwife on Feb. 28, 2015. The Service was fine but the food was really sub par. We had their special ---a Caesar Salmon salad. The salmon was tasteless. This in a restuarant that is supposed to specialize in seafood. Even the Garlic bread was bland and tasteless. There was a cold draft at our table.... More

Really beautifully done plate of scallops for dinner. Nice house wine by the glass - either red or white - for a reasonable price. Wonderful chiffonade of seared brussel sprouts for salad. Great spot and really friendly, helpful, interesting front desk and waitress. We ate late - almost 9:00 in order to get a table here on busy Sunday of... More

Once again ate lunch and dinner at The Fishwife. The mussels are to die for... Then, I thought I would just have the calamari salad. Salad and more calamari than I could eat. Had to take most out and have for lunch. Service and atmosphere are attentive and comfortable. The location is spectacular. We love The Fishwife. The food is... More

We were referred to this place by the Rosedale Inn where we were staying and we enjoyed our dinner. It was fairly crowded (always a good sign), so reservations are recommended, but the staff were super helpful in finding us a seat as soon as they could and the food was delicious too.

The special on the evening I visited was called Snapper Cancun. It was served with cantaloupe/pineapple salsa and Portobello ravioli. Amazingly good.

What can I say! I've been eating here for a long time and love the cuisine! Love the Cajun fish salad! Go for a walk on Asilomar Beach after your meal for the perfect experience!

We visit the Monterey Penisula every February and the first place we go after unpacking is the Fishwife which is nearby. They have a great selection of seafood meals which is always well prepared and promptly served. Diners can choose whether they want grilled or fried seafood. Prices are quite reasonable; menu doesn't change often but specials are offered regularly.... More

We have been here many times. Last time we were staying is Cambria we drove up for lunch. About a 100 trip each way for lunch. It's that good. Of course the drive on the cabrillo highway isn't too shabby either. Hard shrimp taco's. Awesome!

Interesting seasonal seafood is our attraction to this place. Spotted prawns included. Small with limited parking but worth the trip to Pacific Grove.
