We stopped at Mando's for breakfast with our daughter. The owner and staff make you feel like family and our omelets were great, large, and well worth the money. On our next trip I want to sample their signature Mexican dishes witch they are known for. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

This Mexican restaurant is by far my favorite in the peninsula. The quality fo the food and how it's prepared is fantastic. I had the cripty tacos (swordfish) and my friend had the chimichanga (huge). My parents had a burger (good portion) and enchilada (very cheesy). The chile relleno was delicious too! They refilled the chips/salsa bowl all the time.... More

I've been a big fan on Mando's even since its original existence as Zocalo's. Originally it was such an authentic Mexican restaurant that they didn't even have burritos (an American invention.) They do now, but also have large array of dishes not typically found in more Tex Mex places. The beautiful thing is that if you order a dish that... More

We recently stumbled onto Mandos on a Sunday night when they normally aren't open. Right away the waiter had authentic salsa and chips on the table. Really flavorful salsa. My husband had the chili rellanos which was also great. I had the chicken vegetable soup small size. Portion size was huge for a small. It was served with authentic corn... More

We were looking for good Mexican and reading other reviews. Planned on going to Peppers but so glad it was closed! This place is delicious and I highly recommend it. My father had the fajitas, and I had some steak for tacos - both were great. Chips & salsa were also excellent. Reasonably priced at about $45 including tip for... More

We had lunch. We shared a chicken burrito with rice and beans. The burrito had a good amount of chicken with beans and rice inside. The chips and salsa were tasty. The beans on the side were a little bland but overall the meal was delicious. We will go back when we are in PG.

This is a simple but very good Mexican restaurant in Pacific Grove, which dosen't have very many decent spots for quality Mexican. The tortillas are homemade along with the salsas out of fresh ingrediants and the quality comes thru. Tacos are outstanding. Pricing is ok for Pacific Grove which is generally on the high side. Service is prompt and friendly.... More

Down a side street near the Natural History Museum its worth the 1/2 block walk off Lighthouse Blvd. A couple visits have confirmed that good food and a large selection of beer is available to enjoy. The Salsa is awesome with more of a mole taste than the more common tomato hot spice version.

If you like carnitas, this is the best place to get it! Mando's makes great carnitas tacos, chile rellenos, and great homemade salsa. They provide really great portions, and the prices are really good. I take people here for Mexican food when they are in Pacific Grove, and I sometimes just come by for a beer and a take-out order...
