I can happily say after two weeks traveling through the US this was our favourite dining experience.. without exception. The food and staff were amazing. Thank you for giving us a great night.

From the moment we walked in, we felt as though we were back in Italy. Casual atmosphere, friendly service & delicious food. Love the "Worker's Lunch" served on weekdays! Great price! The polenta with roasted vegetables & ricotta cheese was fabulous. Putenesca Pasta had just the right blend of seasonings & lots of kalamata olives, yum! The fresh organic salad... More

If I could, I would give this place 10 stars. We happened upon this restaurant our last night in Pacific Grove after reading some reviews. We called ahead for a reservation. Upon entering we were greeted and seated by the owner. The decor is awesome. Rustic yet very stylish. Chairs hanging on the wall, but cloth table cover and napkins.... More

We prefer to make reservations for dinner but a number of restaurants in Pacific Grove refused to reserve for two on triathlon weekend. So we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Once seated, things got better. Starters of grilled vegetables and a charcuterie and cheese plate were delicious. Gnocchi with Gorgonzola and a steak were both very tasty.... More

We went to il vecchio's on a Monday night when many of the other highly rated restaurants in Pacific Grove were closed. To our surprise they had a special offering of small plates from their regular menu. Each plate was five dollars and you had to order a minimum of three plates per adult (two for children). This enabled my... More

We love going to Il Vecchio for a dinner with multiple courses but I think their Worker's Lunch is brilliant. It is served family style, and there is a set menu for each weekday online so you can see if the pasta/risotto for that day appeals to you or works with any special dietary needs. It feels like a party...and... More

We tried this after Tripadvisor recommendation. It was a Monday night and they had a special 3 course $15 menu. We really enjoyed a change from typical American food. If you are staying in a Monterey give it a try. It was full of locals which was a great attraction for us

To call the food there Italian is really far fetched. Real Italian food taste quite differently...But having said that- fish was very nice, polenta was tasty and full of flavor atmosphere friendly and cosy. All and all a good experience.

First of all I'd like to say that if there was a 6 or 7 star rating it would definetley be scoring 6/7 stars. Secondly i would like to say it was a stunning and very enjoyable experience. As we walked in I could tell I was going to like it by the polite welcoming staff and the Italian atmosphere.As... More

What can i say? Possibly the best place i have ever eaten! The monday special offer was perfect. You get to choose three courses of their most popular food but in smaller portions. Great idea and great food and staff to match that. If your looking for a quality place to eat, go there!
