I am going to have to come down on the side of the reviewers who enjoyed An Choi. Yes, the service was a tad slow and the decor is an odd blending of Asian/beachside joint, but the food we ordered was very good. The tofu salad was very tasty and nicely presented, and the Pho was clean and delicious. My... More

We were excited to try this place, after hearing several locals rave about how great the food is. We'd also had great Thai food in Paso Robles the night before (what can I say - we were on a roll!) so were eager to compare. Unfortunately - no comparison. The food here was very bland. We ordered something called "sweet... More

I took my wife to An Choi in Pacific Grove for her birthday, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Just a ten-minute walk up from glorious Asilomar Beach and next door to the Olympia Lodge where we stayed, An Choi has inventive food, excellent service and a very friendly staff. The chef's daughter was our waitress (very... More

The potstickers with shiitake mushrooms are amazing! The martini ideas are delicious, but execution needs work (tip: ice should never be in a martini glass).

Entering An Choi, you are struck by the serenity of the decor and the immaculate interior. Our extended meal was superb, beautifully presented and obviously made with only the freshest of ingredients. This was our second dinner here - and it won't be our last.

If you like fresh, skillfully prepared, artfully presented Asian sea food at a reasonable price, this is your restaurant! If Christine's Vietnamese-American menu is new to you, she is a helpful guide. We have eaten hear twice and have decided to make a yearly pilgrimage from our home in the Sierras.

On our recent trip to Monterey, we were so grateful to have a local resident recommend An Choi to us. It was the pro-am tournament week-- and we had spent the early evening enjoying drinks at Roy's (Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach)-- and were looking for something fairly light. There were few table occupied when we arrived-- but a slow Monday... More
