My family all enjoyed our dinner here. The service was friendly and helpful and the food delicious. The dishes were more creative than the run of the mill Asian food and it was all fresh and very tasty. They even happily cooked a dish that was not on the menu for us. The decor was very pretty. more

My husband and I visited Pacific Grove for two nights earlier this week and we ate dinner both nights at An Choi. The first night my husband got the orange duck and it was the best duck I ever tasted, and I don't even like duck! My fish and prawns were outstanding as was the wine and creme brulee. On... more

Fresh ingredients, fabulous flavors, friendly owners and staff. I especially love the chicken potsticker appetizer, clay pot fish, shaking beef, and the vegetarian green bean and tofu dish. more

I was reading through the reviews, and was genuinely surprised by the one about the quality of the Kung Pao Chicken. Both my Son and I think it is far superior than any we've had elsewhere. Last visit, I dropped back to my favorite, Shaken Beef. Excellent, as usual. We both also love the Crispy Saigon Rolls with that wonderfully... more

We recently stayed at the Butterfly Grove Inn, Pacific Grove and decided to find a restaurant within walking distance. Just a few minutes away we came upon the An Choi restaurant and we were warmly greeted by the proprietor. The resuarant was not very busy but this did not put us off. My wife started with the Squid Tempura and... more

I have been coming periodically to Thanh & Christine Truong's lovely family restaurant An Choi since they opened three years ago. I am consistently delighted by the complex layering of flavors, expert preparation and thoughtful execution of the dishes there. The clean, welcoming feel in the dining room always puts us at ease and of course the loving and truly... more

We passed by this neat looking place and ordered kung pao chicken and pad thai. The worst kung pao chicken I ever had! The 9 small pieces of chicken burried in tons of bell pepper was very rubbery and dry. We complained so the waitress took the dish and after few seconds, the cook came out telling us it was... more

Fresh ,wonderfully presented, inventive menu in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that keeps us coming back when we frequently visit the area. The duck is to die for if you are a fan of duck. Rivals what I've had in Bejing and Paris! Every dish we've had has been so well prepared from appetizers to desert! Other noteable highlights include Clay Pot Ginger... more

I loved the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food it served. Chef/owner even came out and greeted me, making sure that my food was well served and cooked to my expectation. My first impression of this place was quickly answered by the dish I ordered. Thai Seafood hot and sour soup. A specially-requested dish by my... more
