We went for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and found an amazing oasis at Tierra Sur. We took our time, had appetizers, mains and a wine tasting. No room for dessert. Service was excellent and the food was marvelous. Don't miss it. fyi, they usually have a mincha minyan at 2pm in winery.

We found Tierra Sur on TripAdvisor while looking for a kosher restaurant. Food: although our dinners (chicken and prime rib) were overdone, the food was excellent; nice creative side dishes that came with dinners; excellent wines as this restaurant is part of Baron Herzog Winery. $$$ Would return if we get back to this area. Server very knowledgeable.

Food was excellent. Every last bit of it, and especially the lamb and duck dishes. The service was also great- friendly, not rushed, showing samples of food and tasting of wines. Not the cheapest around and a bit of a drive from LA... but well well worth it!

Drove up while on trip in LA. Took pch and that made the drive up part of the experience. Did the short self guided tour of the winery first which I would recommend trying because if it's not ur speed u can rush through and be done in a minute. Food was amazing steak was huge and the sauce was... More

Who would of thought my gourmet meal it was completely kosher. I'm not Jewish but this winery restaurant is par excel lance. Service is very good and you can even take a self guided tour of this kosher winery (Herzog Wines). On one dinning visit we were seated next to 2 tables with a couple at each table. They were... The best part of the restaurant is the service. Uniformly excellent. The decor is what I might call "minimalist." The menu is short and, as implied, all meat and seafood. Some of it leans a bit exotic, such as bison kielbasa, and other dishes are more recognizable. The limited options and the fact that neither of us were that impressed... More

WE have been here 3 times and loved it each time. The menu changes and everything we've had is wonderful, BUT, it is VERY expensive.

I had always wanted to eat at the Tierra Sur restaurant at the winery, as it is one of the highest rated restaurants in the Oxnard/Ventura area, but we always missed the opportunity as it is closed on Saturdays (our going out to the theater night in Ventura), as it is totally Kosher. A friend and I were in the... More
