Went for a wine tasting and light meal. They had no problem with us sharing our salad, dinner and dessert. The food was excellent , but a tad high priced (possibly because of the kosher aspect of the restaurant). Service excellent. Go outside and smell the wood burning grill, it made the evening.

We drove up from our visit to LA, spent the night in Ventura and the following day on the Channel Islands. We ate outside at Tierra Sur, enjoyed the fabulous weather and excellent service. An amazing kosher dining experience! The food was excellent, highly recommend the rib eye -- though they don't use any butter, it really is as soft... More

Tierra Sur: Delicious food and great service in a clean, attractive restaurant with substantial space for private groups, so what's not to like? ...The hand washing options for customers. In fact, the whole problem of washing one's hands at Tierra Sur shows a much bigger flaw. While the restaurant itself, and the wine tasting bar and gift shop next to... More

In a well-appointed dining room, our party of 10 ordered mostly prime, kosher steaks (2 of us ordered beef tips). Everyone's inner carnivore was satisfied, kosherly. Food preparation is very well performed. I started with an authentic Caesar salad (avec anchovies), followed by the beef tips (yummy) and followed by satisfying zeppoli. Service could have been a bit more attentive,... More

I would recommend anyone in the area to stop by and eat here, however it was not worth the drive from Beverly Hills.

We went for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and found an amazing oasis at Tierra Sur. We took our time, had appetizers, mains and a wine tasting. No room for dessert. Service was excellent and the food was marvelous. Don't miss it. fyi, they usually have a mincha minyan at 2pm in winery.

We found Tierra Sur on TripAdvisor while looking for a kosher restaurant. Food: although our dinners (chicken and prime rib) were overdone, the food was excellent; nice creative side dishes that came with dinners; excellent wines as this restaurant is part of Baron Herzog Winery. $$$ Would return if we get back to this area. Server very knowledgeable.

Food was excellent. Every last bit of it, and especially the lamb and duck dishes. The service was also great- friendly, not rushed, showing samples of food and tasting of wines. Not the cheapest around and a bit of a drive from LA... but well well worth it!

Drove up while on trip in LA. Took pch and that made the drive up part of the experience. Did the short self guided tour of the winery first which I would recommend trying because if it's not ur speed u can rush through and be done in a minute. Food was amazing steak was huge and the sauce was... More
