This place makes homemade great food. Everything is fresh. Wonderful salsa bar and awesome margaritas.
This Mexican restaurant has good food but the better part is the location next to Seabridge. One has to sit outside!
We have great Mexican food in SoCal, but this is one of the better ones in the Oxnard/Ventura area. If you get there too late, you will be waiting for dinner, though a Margarita helps make the wait feel less! Servers very helpful in suggesting food and drink combinations that work well or are new. Salsa bar covers mild like... More
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Yolanda's. We particularly enjoyed the beam dip served in addition to traditional salsa. Our server was most helpful and offered us extra sauces to try with our meals. A very good Mexican restaurant, though a bit noisy. But, we'd go back!
Usually there is a wait for the table, but never fear. The margaritas are great and the food is always wonderful. I have been going to this restaurant for years every time "the girls" go away for a week at the beach. Fahitas are the best. Salads are fabulous as well. It is friend and family oriented and sometimes loud... More
Nice salsa bar. Decent selection of tequilas and Mexican beers. The food is average but the service is generally very good. Sit outside for a nice breeze off the harbor.
I have been a fan of Yolands since I was a little girl and it was still on Saviers. This was the place my parents would go for their anniversaries and the place we requested on our birthdays or when we got student of the month at Larsen! The food is always great and they are always accommodating! I have... More
very family oriented as there must have been at least four birthdays in the short time we were there. Abundigas (sp) (meat ball soup) was excellent as was the carnitas.
Yolandas is walking distance for us and thus no worry about DUI. We remark nearly every visit about the food not being very good. The atmosphere is very nice. Last night our waiter was slow and rude. It may just have been a bad night for him but we won't go back.
Here in California you can get good Mexican food just about anywhere. But at Yolanda's you get good Mexican food, great service and a great view of the marina. Order a "skinny" margarita, instead of the basic sweet & sour mix they use fresh lime juice, I had it on the rocks no salt and it was delicious!
