That's what locals call it. When I lived in the area for a few years, this was one of the recommended places to eat at. I would make beelines here during lunch to buy food. Just recently, got the chance to go back, so I had to get me a torta again. While I took it to go, it was... More

This is the go to spot for me and my workers when we have a craving for Taco's or burritos, these are authentic. The staff here do speak enough English for a non Spanish speaking person to order, Love the Asada Meat, We only get take out so the ambiance or any lack of there is not important it's the... More

As noted below, this place is a little controversial. For arguments sake, I am reviewing the TDM on 5th St and Meta in downtown Oxnard. There are other branches that may or may not be operated by the same people in Oxnard and Ventura. This place has authentic Mexican-style tacos and burritos to eat there or take out. The standards... The location of this restaurant is not a good place to take your family. I am not a fearful person but I do know the area. Not good. The food was so-so but the place is a dump. It's dirty, broken chairs, missing chairs, dirty windows and no one seems to care. I will not be back. Now it's time... More

There are several "El Tacos de Mexico" in Ox-ball... The best one is Jessie's on 7th street. Back in the 90's there was just the one and the Al Pastor tacos where the best in the region. Things are a little different these days but a Al Pastor chili relleno burrito is still pretty killer if your not afraid of... More

My family and I have been eating here since I was a baby and I still love this restaurant the best! I have traveled all around the world while in the military and I still carve the food at TDM!!! I have been getting the carne asada burrito for years and have always been impressed! The customer service is awesome!... More

Where do I start…. Taco De Mexico does serve good authentic Mexican food, but there customer service and responsibility towards the patrons is hilarious. They are prejudice to others who are not of Mexican decent and will argue with you when they know they have done wrong. Example; I always order Chili Relleno and rice burritos when I go there... This place always has lines, the food is good and plentiful. Expect to wait for at least 10 minutes before you order. Its greasy, its filled with people, and these is little room to sit but the food is so good. Take the food out and head down 5th street to the beach for a picnic.

Some times there is a line out the door, but don't be discouraged... they are fast and the food is definitely worth it. The carne asada burritos are delicious! Just remember to ask for extra salsa on the side.
