Great food

This was a great little find. It is similar to Panera but has a lot of interesting choices for and sandwiches. I had the Californian thar had avocado, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and aoli. It was delicious and they bake the bread in a pizza oven on site. We all had great... read more

When the Urbane Cafe opened several years ago, their salads and sandwiches were different and unique.....and delicious! I don't know what happened, but we both were very disappointed with the lunch that was served. My husband ordered the Kale and quinoa salad with roasted chicken......he said it was very bland. I ordered the salad of the day with roasted chicken......again,... More

I've never heard of this place but was staying at the hotel close by and driving around looking for a "to-go" dinner. Saw a lot of people going in and out so figured I'd try it. I had a California Chicken sandwich with avocado. It's made on a flatbread and came with a side salad. The chicken was warm, tender... More

So, it's not Paneras, it's better! The choices of sandwiches and soups were imaginative with a Cal-Mex twist, using ingredients more commonly found in Mexican restaurants, but in an upscale, boutique, chain restaurant style. Made to order, fresh and delicious. Maybe a hair more expensive than a Paneras, but worth it!

I think the sandwiches here are a great change for those used to Panera Bread... I recommend the so-cal sandwich... very good! I'll be coming back!

Had a wonderful salad. Sandwiches looked delicious. Nice, clean and quick. Order first and pay type of restaurant. Nice for quick lunch.

Read the reviews on Yelp and went there the night before a trip to Anacapa for a sandwich to take on a picnic. This is an upscale deli. Cute atmosphere and gourmet type sandwiches and salads. I asked the restaurant to pack my sandwich un-assembled and with the dressing on the side so it wouldn't get soggy in the hotel... More

This is a casual cafe to get a good quality meal at a very reasonable price. The ingredients are fresh, everything is made to order and the staff is happy to make any changes to accommodate food preferences or allergies. The girl who took my order was so sweet and patient. It was my first time eating at the cafe,... More

We were in Oxnard and couldn't find a place to eat. We came upon this place and thought we'd check it out as we were too tired to care after a long drive. It's just a small place in a strip mall and we weren't expecting much. We went in, ordered 2 sandwiches and they were fantastic! Both came with... More
