This is one of the best kept secrets in Oxnard. My husband and I eat here frequently and have never been disappointed, by either the food or the service. I would recommend making reservations, especially on the weekends. Not only are their authentic Moqueca dishes unbelievable, but that they also have an extensive Brazilian drink menu.

Went for lunch on a Saturday when they had just opened for the day. There was 1 waitress for 4 tables and while she was nice enough, she never checked on us through the meal. She was chatting the whole time at the bar and we had to flag down someone else for the check after waiting about 15 min... More

Our party of 21 held a graduation party at Moqueca Brazilian Cuisine this weekend. The restaurant is located on the second floor with beautiful harbor view. We sat by the windows and were able to watch the sunset as well as the harbor lights after dark. I went overboard a bit with my ordering of the clay pots; as a... More

Was recommended this place by Johnny and Vanessa and had to try it. The food was so unique and good. They have some awesome drinks Brazilian style. I will be back to have more food and enjoy it's harbor ambiance.

We've been here many times. It's the place we always take visitors, and no one hasn't loved it, whatever they had. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that the service is sometimes slow, and they have a hard time acknowledge you when you first enter the restaurant..

What a great location- especially now that the views last well past 7pm. Beautiful setting and very interesting artwork that is well placed- Someone with a professional eye must have don the interior design. Moqueca has a unique menu and both the entrees and appetizers are very reasonably priced for large portions. Try the KILLER Caipirinhas- they are refreshing and... More

Delicious. The lobster and shrimp moqueca was perfectly cooked. With the hearts of palm salad and the bom bom desert, it was fantastic meal. This being my fourth time at Moqueca, I am impressed at the consistency of the food, particularly the lobster, which can get rubbery if not cooked well. Ambience isn't its strongest quality, but the service is... More

The cuisine in this restaurant is very different from any other Brazilian restaurant I have visited. Featuring moqueca, a sauce of finely chopped tomatoes, herbs and other goodies, one has a choice of fish and/or seafood to accompany the dish which is served boiling hot with rice or bread. Frankly, the sauce was so yummy I could have made a... More

Love the food, love the ambiance, love the service, love the waiters. They are amazing at explaining the menu, the drinks and the different dishes. It's a wonderful place to take friends visiting. Not a place for kids...dinner gets expensive with drinks

It's nice to have a different type of cuisine in Oxnard other than the "usual". The staff was very nice and acomodating. The food was delicious and seasoned very well. The view of the boat traffic is always nice to watch too.
