Great place to stop and have a piece of pie

kinda like stopping in the twilight zone, but a good spot to take a break if you're on a road trip. Great homemade pie and with a scoop of ice cream!

Why, oh why, must there be such a large selection of pie? It's not fair. I got the Cherry Cheesecake Pie. I should've gotten a slice of everything, alas, I am not rich nor do I have an astoundingly high metabolism. The fries went great with it, too.

We stopped here for lunch and ended up with breakfast since the breakfast choices sounded so good. My wife had the 18 Wheeler Omelet, chili and cheese, with pancakes and really liked it. I had the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs and found it very good. They make their own jam, both strawberry-raspberry-mango and blackberry, both excellent. Friendly service. They... More

As many others have said, you have to ignore the appearances. To be fair we just needed somewhere for a quick bite and stumbled across the Palm. Service was a bit slow but I think we hit changeover time. The food was okay and reasonably priced. It seemed that pies of all varieties were the house specials, if you like... More

We stooped for lunch after a hike in Redwoods. We shared a chili dog - the sandwich was great and there was plenty of food for both of us. In addition to the food, our visit was made enjoyable by the great service provided by the bubbly waitress. Definitely will go there again when in area.

Don't let the appearance deter you! This place has awesome food. Thanks so much Alissa, cook, for the best pancakes ever. They have breakfast all day which was why we stopped and it didn't disappoint. Our waitress Stephanie was right on top of everything too!

A quick place for a sandwhich or a hamburger. It is sty he end of Redwood State Park.. The French fries were very hot and were very good. It is like an old time cafe.

Orick is a delapidated town on North CA hwy 101. It's about halfway between Eureka and Crescent City. Is the entrance town to the Lady Bird Johnson Redwood Grove and Bald Hills Rd - which is a really fun, wild well maintained dirt road drive. The town has seen better days and is run down since it's glory days when... More
