Pleasant respite to camping food! :)

We ran late exploring the ocean, watching the sunset and ran for a restaurant after dark! Glad we found this cool, old fashioned place. They even had a real juke box for my teenage boys to experience! Food was homemade and hit the spot! :) They close at 8pm so be sure to get there quick!

I went in for pie and ended up having breakfast first. It wasn't a busy morning. The server was super friendly. The eggs did take long for diner food but everything tasted great. The pie was AMAZING. Seriously. Homemade blackberry pie. Order the pie.

My experience was a bit different than described in other recent postings. There are few choices for eating lunch in Orick and this seemed to be place to be before entering the park from the south. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was certainly not gourmet but it met our needs for a quick lunch at reasonable prices.

We stopped here to eat breakfast before hitting the national park. There weren't a lot of choices, so we gave this place a shot. It took about 10 minutes before we even had our drink order taken. That should have been a sign to us that the total breakfast experience would take about an hour and a half. The food... More

Waited forever--took over an hour to get breakfast--cook appeared to only work on one order at time. Once breakfast finally came it was terrible--eggs in omelets were undercooked and very greasy. Try somewhere else.

We stopped in for lunch. Seems like a family owned restaurant, with all family members involved. Ordered a hamburger, and salad bar. My comment after leaving the restaurant was " I hope the food doesn't make us ill." It didn't. We took pie to go, and it was great for breakfast the next morning.

We were recommended to this restaurant by a park service staff. We didn't care for the slow, unfriendly service. The waitress was chatting to locals the entire time and didn't seem to quickly notice others or attend to their needs. The food was average.

Fall back in time to the good old diners of years past. This is a good place to get a hamburger or a BLT. Hot apple pie and ice cream are available to top off a calorie busting meal. Enjoy

Don't waste your time and money. This may be the only place to eat in Orick, but do yourself a favor and just keep driving until the next town. Or pack your own lunch for the Redwoods. It's only rated #1 because this is literally the ONLY place to really eat. Very misleading. Diners are usually friendly, delivering good 'ole... More

The Curry Califlower soup was to die for and the toasted tuna on rye was an original creation. Who thought the cook/ chef Marco would originate a fresh idea with a tuna sandwich. It was inspiring as we shared this original sandwich and savored each bite. Marco freshly made a large batch of what appeared to be "Cinnimon" buns like... More
