We stopped in for lunch. Seems like a family owned restaurant, with all family members involved. Ordered a hamburger, and salad bar. My comment after leaving the restaurant was " I hope the food doesn't make us ill." It didn't. We took pie to go, and it was great for breakfast the next morning.

We were recommended to this restaurant by a park service staff. We didn't care for the slow, unfriendly service. The waitress was chatting to locals the entire time and didn't seem to quickly notice others or attend to their needs. The food was average.

Fall back in time to the good old diners of years past. This is a good place to get a hamburger or a BLT. Hot apple pie and ice cream are available to top off a calorie busting meal. Enjoy

Don't waste your time and money. This may be the only place to eat in Orick, but do yourself a favor and just keep driving until the next town. Or pack your own lunch for the Redwoods. It's only rated #1 because this is literally the ONLY place to really eat. Very misleading. Diners are usually friendly, delivering good 'ole... More

The Curry Califlower soup was to die for and the toasted tuna on rye was an original creation. Who thought the cook/ chef Marco would originate a fresh idea with a tuna sandwich. It was inspiring as we shared this original sandwich and savored each bite. Marco freshly made a large batch of what appeared to be "Cinnimon" buns like... More

If you like the traditional American diner, this is a place to visit. Great home made pies and other foods. We didn't stay there but the Palm Motel next door looked like more of the same.

After spending the morning enjoying the redwoods along the Newton B Drury Scenic Parkway, we were not hopeful about finding a lunch spot in Orick, a little spot in the road, like so many small towns along Highway 101. Checked good ole TA and found the Palm Cafe. This place is a slice of Norman Rockwell from the the original... More

The French Dip and Hot Roast Beef were home cooking filling and delicious. Table service was friendly but the food took awhile to come out the unhurried Orick way. We always stop here for lunch or breakfast on our way to the Redwoods.

Its been a while since we went to the Palm Cafe to have a meal. We went for dinner lat weekend. We were treated to the 'special' for the night. Tri-Tip, fresh squash, gratin potatoes and shrimp chowder. YUM! Jerry is a joy to have wait on you, Michael is a wonderful cook! For a little over $10 a meal,... More
