This is by far one of the best restaurants in this area. It is located in the old section of Orcutt, with several other restaurants. Rooney's serves wonderful pub food, the specials nightly are worth trying, the selection of beers, especially the ones brewed on site, are extensive. The wine list is a bit lacking but this is a pub.... More

We had a quick lunch at Rooney's and were pleased that we had stopped. The menu is classic pub food, well prepared and voluminous. The beer list was extensive. Considering the Central Coals area where Rooney's is located, the wine list was more moderate, but Irish pubs aren't known for their wine lists. I'd go to Rooney's again if I... More

We were traveling California and looking for a place to eat Christmas Eve. Found Rooneys through the hotel we were staying at. Good replica of an authentic Irish pub. Food was good and they give you enough to ask about sharing dishes; they really load you up on some. Have a number of good draft beers and of course they... More

Our office holiday party was here at Rooney's. Their service and value was wonderful and the food was excellent. Their chips are amazing!

So there must be an American chef in the kitchen here. This was a great find for someone who is just moving to the area. What we liked are the: (a) Food, (b) local beer, (c) atmosphere and (d) cheerful service. We stopped in for lunch while house hunting in the area, partly because they had a wi-fi we could... More

I love Rooneys. I lived in Santa Maria for about 6 months and Rooney's quickly became one of my favorite spots. Pros: They brew their own beer (and it's awesome) Excellent service Amazing food Special dinners where their chef designs a meal to pair with beer or liquor Free wifi (password is "rooney007") Cons: A little pricey for the area... I came here for dinner with two friends and I must say the food is fantastic! I had the Corned Beef and it was the best I have ever had. The Shepherd pie is also great. For dessert I recommend the bread pudding. They also have a great selection of beer. My personal favorite is the Angry Irish Amber Ale,... More

We found this pub on a resent trip to Santa Maria. The employee's are very friendly from the hostess all the way up to the management team. A must try is the Fish and Chips. FRESH cod deep fried in a wonderful beer batter, you can really taste the beer!! Served with a ton of fries and a light cole... More

Went for lunch. Love the atmosphere, sparkling clean (looks like it is brand new place), excellent service, good food, good prices. They give you these homemade potato chips before you order that were delicious. Really enjoyed it. Wish I could remember our servers name...Matt? He was awesome!!
