Definitely worth a try

I grew up visiting the Chili Pepper regularly, and we've never had anything but excellent service and consistently great food. Their dinner menu is affordable, and kid friendly, and they have an excellent champagne brunch I highly recommend. The colorful interior - the fountain, plants, etc, is fun, and they're great for big groups with diverse tastes. They really treat... More

This restaurant made me think of many enjoyable evenings spent in Mexico. You are greeted at the door by the hostess and a gentleman who could be the owner. They are quick to seat you in a very brightly decorated area. Decorations are the lovely greens and reds of Mexico and there is a tile fountain, plants and numerous bright... More

If you can't find anything that appeals to you here then you aren't trying. They have a huge menu and specials on the table. It's not the best or most authentic Mexican food but for a group with varying tastes you'd be hard pressed to find a better place.

So Chili Peppers is very popular, and I believe best known for their seafood, as most locals were ordering that. We did not get any seafood dishes. We ordered enchiladas and tacos - cheese, beef, chicken. It was okay, but not remarkable. Maybe the seafood is the way to go.

My wife and I have been going to this Mexican food restaurant since the 1980's. As we ate there yesterday, it occurred to me that I had never reviewed it for Trip Advisor and that's long over due. This restaurant on Main a block or so below Chapman Avenue in Orange is an institution in Orange and nearby communities. The... More

Great food, very friendly staff, and an overall pleasant environment. I am not big on Mexican food, but I got steak kabobs with rice and beans and it was very delicious. The staff was very friendly and informative as well. I would definitely go back if I was in the area and had the time.

Great staff and great food. I would drive from San Diego to eat there. Ate lunch and had to back for dinner.

This Mexican Restaurant is a favorite and we keep coming back. Great food, a varied menu, wonderful ambiance and service that won't quit. Moderately priced, the portions are large and you won't go away hungry. We like the relative privacy of their booths. The chunky salsa is a favorite. A nice eat-in lounge, too.

I know that a huge 8 page menu is good for a lot of people, but not for me. This restaurant is nice inside, very folkloric, the wait staff is great, but the menu is too extensive. Really should cut down by 1/2. All beans covered with yellow cheese, not really something to like. This restaurant seems over the top,... More
