The coffee was 'help yourself' to the flasks of coffee, milk, sugar etc. There were a variety of breads, bagels and fillings to order. for a quick bite at a fair price in a ski resort, it's worth dropping into.

This was our 'go-to' place for breakfast and brunch at Squaw. So sorry it closed. It seems busy enough during the mornings, but they didn't serve dinner, so that was a bummer. If they opened for dinner, may be they will still be in business.

The Blue Onion Cafe serves Lake Tahoe from two locations. Kings Beach location is open year round for breakfast & lunch. During the winter, they also operate from the Squaw Valley location. We enjoyed Sunday lunch/brunch at the Kings Beach property. It's across the beach on a golf course and offers great lake views from the deck. The blue decorations... More

We heard about this place from a bartender in Squaw Valley and went the next day. Amazing food, service and atmosphere. If you're in the Nonth Shore area do not miss this gem!

Having devoured the crepes at Creperie Catherine in Mont Tremblant over the X-mas holiday, we were looking for a similar experience at Squaw. Unfortunately, the only place that made crepes, Blue Onion, was somewhat disappointing. However, to be fair, our standards/base comparison was high. That said, the local favorites/omelets were surprisingly good. Overall, it's a safe place for breakfast.
