My family & I had a great breakfast here. The chicken fried steak is so good! We also had the biscuits & gravy and eggs Benedict. They were both really good. The only drawback was the wait. My suggestion would be to get there really early or around lunch time. But, it was worth the wait.

Such sweet ladies working there when I picked up breakfast to go! It's a clean small little diner with a bar that you can sit at as well! The prices are great, food is great... Can't complain! Next time we'll come for lunch =)

It's about 45 minutes to Ojai , but worth each trip to Bonni Lu's. Always good food, friendly folks, and worth the (sometimes on Sundays) wait. When you go, look up the owner who, I understand, named the place for her mother. She's a delight ( and, also, a dachshund owner).

We were lucky to find this cafe as we walked down the street enjoying our stop in Ojai. The food was fresh and delicious. Everything we tried was perfect, so I don't think you can wrong whatever you order. Service was so friendly we felt like locals. 1950's/1960's decor was really fun.

Really cute little place that is favorite among the locals for it's great food and homey atmosphere.. The inside is charming and sweet but be aware that it's not huge and so it can fill up fast. The waitresses are very helpful and you feel like you've known them all of your life. I ordered one of the house specials... More

Clean and quaint "diner" with super-friendly attentive staff. Loved the soft pastel colours and 50's feeling. Food was obviously super fresh and great healthy choices. Not "wow" enough for 5/5 but a solid breakfast place.

Fantastic breakfast. Even more fun was the fact that this place is obviously a hangout for locals, so we got to watch the traffic in and out, people greeting each other, hugging and kissing -- so much fun. The waitress was fabulous, helpful with suggestions and very friendly. Great coffee, excellent omelettes and the biscuits! Don't skip the biscuits! Best... More

For true blue breakfast in Ojai, Bonnie Lu's is the spot. The plus for us was that it was within walking distance of the Su Nido. It's a colorful diner with a collage of random mugs that the hot beverages are served in & personable service. Boyfriend's buckwheat pancakes did not disappoint & when I couldn't decide between pancakes &... More

We eat at Bonnie Lu's every Sunday morning with our kids. It's become our ritual - arrive at Bonnie Lu's by 8:10, finish around 9:00 and head over to the farmer's market. We're usually able to get a table right away if we're there by 8:10, otherwise there's a short wait. Jenny and all of the staff are like family... More

Bonnie Lu's is the basic restaurant/cafe every small town has where the staff really knows what they're doing and are very friendly. The food is robust and tasty and very reasonably priced. There are plenty of choices for both carnivores and vegetarians and they offer some of the best pancakes anywhere, Also try their eggs benedict both in meat and... More
