Description: We at Azu believe the best dishes are made from fresh ingredients. We look to the local farmers that we know grow quality organic and natural produce, that help give our menu that special California twist. Our bar menu is filled with craft cocktails with juices squeezed right from Ojai's citrus orchards where are bartenders hand pick fruit to help make the perfect mimosa, martini's, and Richies famous Bloody Mary. We love supporting our California wineries, breweries, farmers, and hormone free companies. We buy locally and organically whenever possible and strive to add a California twist to our Spanish inspired menu. For over 10 years, Owner and Chef Laurel Moore has taken this inspiration and has created a ambiance and menu that has the feel of a mediterranean retreat, authentic destination, and local Ojai escape. We strive to provide the tastiest and freshest ingredients while preparing our dishes with the pure natural flavor of farm driven produce and flavors. We offer organic, vegan, Paleo, gluten free, vegetarian, and other dietary restricted options as well as healthy nutritional options for kids. Our dishes are designed to meet the needs of Everyone who walks through our historic doors. We cater to couples nights out, large parties and receptions, wedding events, Happy Hour connoisseurs, anniversary celebrations, outdoor dining, Tapas tastings, wine tastings, beer samplings, corporate events, and have a wide variety of Tapas and Celebration menus to choose from. Whether you are looking to escape from the hustle bustle of the city or are an Ojai local in need of a special night out. Our destination style atmosphere and farm fresh California Tapas, fresh juice cocktails, and local wine and beer, is the perfect place to find sanctuary within a culinary inspired establishment.

We really enjoyed our dinner tonight at Azu. They have a wonderful and interesting menu with great salads and vegetables. Loved the arugula and dried fig salad, really enjoyed the fried cauliflower. The lamb kofta was delicious. We had a group of four and enjoyed sharing tapas among the group. Service was excellent!

Relaxed and local feel. This place has just enough variety in the menu to cover you if you are just in the mood for tapas and cocktails or want a special dinner and evening out with all the trimmings. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Both the lunch and dinner menus have a lot to choose from and everything appears... More

Everything was great- and so much to choose from. Drinks were well made and tasty- and the menu allowed all to pick what they wanted and share with all. I have never really liked dates at other tapas places, but oh do they have their day here- amazing. Gambas, and mussels- so good. Their patatas bravas work so well because... More

Enjoyed the bloody mary and eggs benedict were really different and tasty! Very pleasant service, we sat outside but the inside seemed pleasant for seating in the evening. Just enough of a 'difference' with the dishes to seem special at breakfast. Look forward to trying their Tapas menu, which I am told is good.

Ate at Azu earlier this month; first visit was a year and a half ago and I've looked forward to going back ever since. Killer menu, perfect for sharing, excellent service. Put Azu on your list of not-to-be-missed restaurants in the Ojai/Santa Barbara/Ventura area.

I have been coming to Ojai for many years and this was our first time trying this restaurant and I am disappointed that I did not try it sooner. A Mediterranean flavor with a tapas menu. I had the seafood paella and it was awesome. We started with some tapas apps - incl the fried calamari which was exceptional. I... More

The food and service were wonderful. It was a very nice way to celebrate an anniversary. We especially liked the chilled peach soup. The only negative was that we had made a reservation a few days beforehand and when we got to the restaurant they had no record of it. But because it was a Sunday night we were able... More
