We at Azu believe the best dishes are made from fresh ingredients. We look to the local farmers that we know grow quality organic and natural produce, that help give our menu that special California twist. Our bar menu is filled with craft cocktails with juices squeezed right from Ojai's citrus orchards where are bartenders hand pick fruit to help make the perfect mimosa, martini's, and Richies famous Bloody Mary. We love supporting our California wineries, breweries, farmers, and hormone free companies. We buy locally and organically whenever possible and strive to add a California twist to our Spanish inspired menu. For over 10 years, Owner and Chef Laurel Moore has taken this inspiration and has created a ambiance and menu that has the feel of a mediterranean retreat, authentic destination, and local Ojai escape. We strive to provide the tastiest and freshest ingredients while preparing our dishes with the pure natural flavor of farm driven produce and flavors. We offer organic, vegan, Paleo, gluten free, vegetarian, and other dietary restricted options as well as healthy nutritional options for kids. Great bloody Mary's and bison burgers

This is the third time we have returned to Azu in the same number of years for lunch. It's very charming. I come to have a Bloody Mary which is not that easy to find in Ojai. We tried the kale and quinoa salad and found it to be disappointing. It needed salt and more flavor. But, my husband and... read more

I had been very excited about trying out this restaurant while we were on a weekend getaway. The menu offerings looked really good and the atmosphere is very nice. Unfortunately, the three dinner items we ordered were underwhelming. And, the vegetarian "spaghetti" really left much to be desired. The ingredients all sounded good but the execution was almost inedible. We... More

We stopped here for lunch before going wine tasting. We ordered a few items off their Tapas menu. It was quite good. True I've had better tapas in Los Angeles but we were quite satisfied with the service and the atmosphere.

I started with the Seltzer Water with Blood Orange Juice which was very refreshing. I ordered the Hummus with Grilled Pita and Veggie Crudite. This dish was beautifully laid out with local, colorful, fresh and extremely tasty vegetables. This was a very enjoyable dish. I ordered the Kale Quinoa Salad, which also was very tasty. My friend ordered the Vegan... More

Service not so great. Our apps came out before she had given us our drink order. Kind of annoying. But the food was delicious. Lamb sliders, the dates, the bison burger so good. Rest of the service that night was good.

Farm to table tappas style plates are their specialty (thought you can also order as a full plate)! The flavors and variety of tappas was pleasantly surprising and something I would have expected to see in a more upscale restaurant in a large city. Azu has an excellent wine list to match it's food and we even purchased a bottle... More

I had read about this restaurant so we went for lunch today as we were in Ojai on another errand. We were not disappointed. The food all tastes home-made and was very good. I had a grilled cheese and tomato soup, my wife had vegetarian tacos. The portions were moderate sized and prices were in line. We will be back... More
