Our style of food is inspired by the abundant natural diversity and rich ingredients of our valley and local California region. We are fortunate to have our own two acre chef's garden. In addition to the bounty that surrounds us, we are also within miles of the finest wineries in Central California. Our Mediterranean climate allows for a year round growing season.

Making a good effort

It's pricey but they're making an effort at a fine dining in a rustic environment sort of way. Most items $28 and above. Overpriced drinks. For the money you get a lot more at a similarly ambitious restaurant in a big city; but this is Ojai and you're at a resort, so you pay a premium.

Excellent waitstaff and service. They make you feel as though you are the only patrons there. The dishes are very beautiful and creative. The ingredients are top notch and delicious. If you reserve a table for about 30 minutes before sunset and sit on the terrace, you will have a fantastic view of the "Pink Moment" when the setting sun... More

We had dinner at Maraville to celebrate our 30th anniversary while staying at the Inn. The concierge had noted it was our anniversary with making the reservation, and we had a secluded table with rose petals on the tablecloth when we sat down. Service through the meal was perfect. The attitude, timing, etc. We both had seafood; my wife the... More

Ojai valley is a small town with unique Spanish architecture character about an hour away from LA with few good restaurants. This restaurant is probably the most upscale one in Ojai area located as part of the Ojai Valley Inn & spa hotel which is connected to a very beautiful golf course. A bit more formal fine dining place serving... More

My LD and I had dinner on a Friday evening. They sat us a great table with a view of the setting sun. Our server was very informative with the menu and referred me to the gluten free options. He recommended a superb bottle of California Cabernet Sauvignon. They even served me a gluten free bread basket which I have... More

There is a lot of variety on the menu from fresh vegetables that are grown organically and locally. The meat choices from fish, beef, pork, venison, free range chicken, something yummy for everyone! The menu is very creative which is so nice to see and enjoy!

We recently dined here with a party of six and had a most delightful meal. To begin with, the restaurant is beautiful and illustrative of Early California ambience. We were greeted warmly by the staff and were made to feel welcome. The service was impeccable. Our server Fabiola was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was excellent, well prepared, and fresh.... Kate was our waitress and she was enthusiastic and engaged. I was impressed by her knowledge of the menu and her authentic style. I had the scallops and the citrus salad. The presentation of the scallop dish was exceptional.

The locations is superb, the service well trained and the wine list (and Steve the sommelier) awesome. I felt the food was not off the scale spectacular though it was top end prices. An early booking on the terrace gets you a terrific view of the sunset and the all round experience is extremely pleasant.
