A cafe-market-bakery-salad bar serving Mexican food using organic chiles, tomatoes and tomatillos grown at the farm. The tortillas are handmade and the sangria is topped with local Ojai citrus. Quite a few vegan, raw and gluten-free offerings; everything else is vegetarian. Lovely outdoor patio with a striped green awning and a view of the mountains.

Great vegetarian food.

squash and goat cheese quesadilla is great. good fresh lemonade and teas. service can be slow since they seem to have a lot of business but has outdoor and indoor seating.

Since we took the train to Ojai, we only had our legs and a double stroller for the boys. We heard that Farmer and Cook was amazing, so we jogged over 3 miles (each way) both nights to enjoy their eats. WELL WORTH it!!!! Very, very fresh, organic, delectable dishes! Many thanks!

They have really good mexican food, and the hot sauce is really really good, my favorite thing about what I had to eat. Good salad bar, fresh made bread, great home-made raw cookies.

A prime hangout for Ojai's organic hazelnut fringe, a non-stop parade of eccentrics and tattoo-adorned seekers of spiritual enlightenment whose philosophical musings and flirtations over the outdoor tables more than make up for the ho-hum raw/vegetarian food and thick brown health shakes (right out of Rosemary's Baby, I couldn't help thinking...)

Wonderful salad bar with really fresh ingredients, very flavorful soups and fantastic cookies. Large selection of smoothies. Most, or, all food is organic and comes from local CSA. Great way to truly support local business and enjoy the casual experience.

We were lucky enough to be in Ojai on a Wednesday evening when The Farmer and the Cook have their Nut Loaf dinner special! Amazing treat for us, as we are usually in Ojai only on weekends. We heard about this Nut Loaf but never experienced it! It's as great as we've heard, and right up to par with all... More

Ojai's own SLOWWWWW food! Great variety of wonderful lunch possibilities -- highly recommend the raw tacos...my son LOVES the huaraches! We have had dinner on the weekends -- I personally enjoy the salad bar! Great tasting -- and you know it is good for you...and good for the environment -- A DOUBLE BLESSING!
