I ate here during a recent family vacation to Oceanside. This restaurant is in a great location, you can eat right on the water of the harbor. The portion sizes are very generous, the fish fillets are huge.

Cheap, fantasic food, and great view. Lines are long, which is a good sign. Try the fish sandwich. Enough said. Cheers!!

Was tasty, but the breading on the fish was a bit heavy and it appeared to take longer to fry, causing very crusty edges to the fish. Got a chance to sit by the water and watch the seal swim around trying to get food from the fishing boat that had just come in.

Typical fish/chips place, chowder was the best of the Sampler plate (fish, shrimp, slaw, fries & chowder). Best to sit outside, little noisy inside & little hectic inside.

We had lunch special with chowder, fish, chips and coleslaw. Chowder was very tasty but we were a bit disappointed with the fish more batter than fish, something we don't get in Australia.

I went to this place based on the reviews. What a frustration. I spent $16 for the captains special (2 fish, 2 shrimp, cole slaw). Although I waited about 15 minutes for my order (thinking it would all be fresh, cooked to order) the fish/shrimp was overlooked and tasted old (both the batter, texture, oil) and this must be the... The food is good, fairly priced, and well located. It's cafeteria style self service on the ordering, beverages and seating. I like it! Really interesting people watching and meeting too.

We've been going here for years and love this place. Great outdoor casual dining and the food is always good. Make sure to get here early though, as they aren't open very late. We just had dinner there a week ago and were disappointed to find that they had taken the calamari steak sandwich off the menu. We also think... More

I wrote a glowing review some time ago. Things have changed. The fish and chips are fish or chips or coleslaw. So you have to pick one or the other of the latter items. The batter is very thick and the fish much smaller than I remember. It doesn't matter as they have a never ending supply of tourists to... More

This is our must lunch stop every time we are in Oceanside. The fish and chips are always great! The fish tastes very fresh and the portions are big
