We had lunch special with chowder, fish, chips and coleslaw. Chowder was very tasty but we were a bit disappointed with the fish more batter than fish, something we don't get in Australia.

I went to this place based on the reviews. What a frustration. I spent $16 for the captains special (2 fish, 2 shrimp, cole slaw). Although I waited about 15 minutes for my order (thinking it would all be fresh, cooked to order) the fish/shrimp was overlooked and tasted old (both the batter, texture, oil) and this must be the... The food is good, fairly priced, and well located. It's cafeteria style self service on the ordering, beverages and seating. I like it! Really interesting people watching and meeting too.

We've been going here for years and love this place. Great outdoor casual dining and the food is always good. Make sure to get here early though, as they aren't open very late. We just had dinner there a week ago and were disappointed to find that they had taken the calamari steak sandwich off the menu. We also think... More

I wrote a glowing review some time ago. Things have changed. The fish and chips are fish or chips or coleslaw. So you have to pick one or the other of the latter items. The batter is very thick and the fish much smaller than I remember. It doesn't matter as they have a never ending supply of tourists to... More

This is our must lunch stop every time we are in Oceanside. The fish and chips are always great! The fish tastes very fresh and the portions are big

We were driving from LA to San Diego and had skipped breakfast in order to make a head start on the Freeway. We pulled off the highway in search of early lunch and fell into Oceanside's harbour area. The setting is perfect with sunbathing Sea Lions, Pelican's and odd squirrel looking things. We ordered the 1-piece fish & chips and... More

Order the Three piece fish and chips -- if you order the two piece, you'll regret missing out on that third piece. The fish is fresh and the batter light. Take a break from the harbor and eat what us locals do -- fish & chips at the harbor.

This place is great. The food is great and it's right on the harbor, so you get the views and often some wildlife. My family has to go there every time we visit!

I was in town for work and I had dinner here at the end of July. It was a Tuesday night around 6:30pm, and I was able to get parking in the nearby parking lot. A cheerful lady named Heavenly took my order. I got the Tuesday Special - 2 piece fish n chips basket for $9.75 and a side... More
